Windy night

Ashgrove Farm
This is a basic ( access to a tap) campsite. It’s high up and has lovely views. Definately worth a stop. My only issue was the price. £7.50 is a good deal. When I went to pay I was told “that was the old price” and it’s now £12.50. We compromised on £10. Just be aware as anything over a tenner feels pricey for the amenities available

Beautiful but windy!

Ashgrove Farm
Lovely simple location, really good views. Field has a slope but OK with chocks and grass was nice and firm. High up so very windy - I didn't even attempt my awning. Entrance is fairly tight, but OK with my 5.4 m campervan. If you had a very long motorhome it might be awkward. The postcode covers a large area so if using a sat nav, use it to get near and then follow the directions on the site.

Quiet site

Ashgrove Farm
When arrived I was informed the I could only use green toilet fluid, this should be mentioned on their web page, also their is NO tap where you empty your toilet tank, only a drinking water tap in the field, not being able to rinse the toilet out you can't fully empty it, the gate is tight with a caravan, The views are stunning and easy access to lovely walks, but beware the locals have right of way always, even if you are coming up a steep hill with a caravan, a car coming downhill has right of way or so the drivers of Knightley think, they won't give way to you

We've just had a lovely weekend at this site. We had a warm welcome from owners Benedict & Vanessa with a gift of chicken and duck eggs, which were gratefully received and very much enjoyed. The views are gorgeous and there are plenty of walks near by, which was good for us being dog owners. We spent Saturday exploring some of the walks with in easy access of the site, finishing off  at the local pub for much needed drink. Sunday was spent at Saltaire festival enjoying the live music, exotic foods and lovely walks along the canal. We will definitely return to this wonderful site which is ideally situated to visit the surrounding areas

Simple but lovely.

I'll admit to making a faux pas when booking this site as I thought it had hook up and so arrived with no generator and a half flat battery. Not great planning! The site owner was very kind and as I paid for 3 nights but was only staying 2 she kindly let me plug in to an outside socket she had nearby. The field is high on the hill and has beautiful panoramic views down over Haworth and Keighley. Haworth was a 10 minute drive away. The site has water and a CDP so as long as you have a generator you are good to go. You can also buy duck and hen eggs on site. Lovely enclosed field with no animals nearby that we were allowed to walk the dog in. Super pub within walking distance too. A really lovely spot with very nice owners who really helped us out of a jam. We'll definitely be returning, only this time with a generator! Laughing
