Why stay here ...

Sue welcomes you to Applewhite Orchard in the village of Ryall set in beautiful Worcestershire between Bredon Hill and the Malvern Hills with easy access from M50, Junction 1.

We are 1 mile from Upton on Severn and it is a lovely stroll down the river footpath to the Marina and the picturesque town. There are footpaths in all directions, the NCN 45 National cycle route is near and The Bluebell Inn is on your doorstep which houses an Indian and Nepalese restaurant. I manage my 14 acres of land to support wildlife and have recently planted a 2 acre Traditional Orchard. It’s also home to MUBKA training Apiary where they teach Bee keeping. It is a work in progress.

Upton is a vibrant riverside town with excellent eateries and a great mix of independent shops including a Map, Toy, Pudding and a Sweet Shop. Upton has summer festivals including Folk(3rd-6th May 2024) Jazz(21st-23rd June 2024), Mello Festival (24th-26th May 2024) and Blues (July 19th-21st 2024) The Sunshine Festival (Aug 22th -25th 2024), Welland Steam Rally (26th - 28th July 2024) and there are regular events at the Three Counties Showground.

There is plenty to visit locally Croome Court, Eastnor Castle, The Malvern Hills,

Tewkesbury, Pershore. Cheltenham and Worcester both have Racing calendars.

In Upton you could visit The Tudor House Museum, Tiltridge Vineyard, Clive’s Fruit Farm or take a trip on the river with Severn Expeditions Day Boat Hire.

I hope you enjoy all the area has to offer.

Perfect for relaxing and peaceful break

Applewhite Orchard
Just back from 3 nights on this very new site. My wife and I were greeted at the gate with a very friendly and relaxed welcome. During our stay Sue gave us some delicious home grown plums. The site itself is just off the road and has excellent access. The site is level with 5 well spaced out pitches. A very short walk up a gentle slope takes you to the Elsan point and shared toilet; both were spotlessly clean with soap and towel in the shared toilet. In the field, but behind an electric fence, were two horses which were no problem at all. The training apiary is two fields away and the only time we saw a bee was when we walked over to look at the hives. If a quiet break is what you want then this site is perfect. Yes, it is close to a road, but the road has a restriction for motor vehicles of access only and the roadside length of the site is tree lined. Traffic noise was absolutely minimal. Upton town centre is a few minutes away by car or just over a mile if you walk using the river path. When you allow for the time taken to find a parking spot in Upton it is probably quicker to walk. The very good site entrance is designed to give easy access when approaching from the junction with the A38 (by the Blue Bell Pub). Approaching from the opposite direction (from the A4104) would mean a difficult turn into the site for large motorhomes and caravans. The gate is padlocked (we were given the code when we booked), but there is also a button on the bottom of the padlock which needs to be pressed to open the padlock. It took us a few minutes to work this one out. Overall, an excellent site that we hope to return to.
