Newry Certificated Locations

Located less than 35 miles from Belfast, Newry is a historic city in Northern Ireland that straddles counties Armagh and Down.

With a history going back nearly 900 years, Newry offers plenty for visitors who enjoy delving into the past.

There's the Protestant St Patrick's Church, which was built in 1578, and the Catholic Cathedral of SS Patrick and Colman, which dates back to 1829.

The Victorian Town Hall was built on a bridge over the River Clanrye, while the Craigmore Viaduct has 18 arches towering up to 126 feet, making it the tallest viaduct in Ireland.

Another highlight is the Newry and Mourne Museum, which covers the history of the local area, and there are also several art galleries.
