Basic site very secluded.
Corran Farm
First impressions were, we were not on the right road as its well off the beaten track. Follow your instinct & keep going. The site is off to the right and up an incline. Facilities are the other side of the road from the entrance. Chemical disposal point is a little unsavoury & basic. Water pressure is low. TV & mobile phone signals non existent. There is a single pitch which I found by accident further round the corner, which is dead flat. The views of the estuary were glorious. Watched our ferry to Islay come past! If you have all your own facilities this is a lovely location and a good stop over point for the ferry. Very quiet and peaceful stay. We loved it.

Corran Farm
This site will suit you if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful and aren’t too bothered about all of the extra facilities offered on other sites. There’s no electric hook-up, which shouldn’t bother you if your unit has solar power or if you also (as we do) have a small silent generator to top up the power. The facilities are basic (there’s a tap for water and a place to scoot out the contents of your toilet but on the up side, two of the pitches, aside from being individually very private, must have the best view anywhere on the Caravan Club’s listings and the others are roomy and far enough from the neighbours also to be private.
The farm also has its own shingle seaside and some space to walk about and the village of Tarbert is only fifteen minutes away by car. Plenty to do if you like the countryside, we’ll be going back in the autumn.

15/9/18 Very basic and some facilities need updating but a wonderful peaceful location. There is some quarry noise during the week but I would say charge up your batteries and go for a glorious weekend.

Stayed on this site from 8 July to 15 July 2013. Scotland was enjoying a prolonged warm, dry and sunny spell.
This was my first visit to a CL.
On approaching the farm the first 3 pitches are located in a circular area to the right back of the road. The remaining 2 pitches are adjacent to the road and offer great views over West Loch Tarbert and the ferries for Islay arriving departing.
Great welcome and plenty of local Info from Mr Bastow. Good walking from the site and seek out the local "secret" a wonderful sandy beach near the village with wonderful views to Jura and Islay. Good walk to nearby hill which has the remains of an ancient fort at the top --also wonderful views over the islands. Remember stout footwear and waterproof trousers if weather has been wet as there is substantial overgrowth on some of the paths. Site very convenient for ferries to Islay, Colonsay,Jura, Arran and Gigha. Local shop /filling station has Calor Gas, milk newspapers, bread etc. Tarbert has larger grocery shop and services. Explore the Kintyre Way and there are miles of wonderful coast with extensive mostly gravel beaches.
If you are looking for a well manicured lawn or hard standing for a pitch this is not for you. This is informal and in wet weather the grass around the upper 3 pitches may be a problem.
Very convenient water taps and chemical loo disposal.
There is a working stone quarry immediately adjacent to the site and although I did not find the noise particularly intrusive during the day I did find my pitch at the side of the road very dusty when one of the large trucks passed. The quarry is not always in use but if it is consider the upper 3 pitches.
O2 mobile signal but it is weak.
During the evening and at the weekend the place was very peaceful. In the field across the road Mr Bastow's 2 horses regularly visited my location to check me out.
A few midgies appeared in the late evenings but I have experienced much worse.
I had a wonderful week and fully intend returning.
