Bencorragh CL is located in the quiet hamlet of Upper Gills just 1 mile off the NC500 route, all of our pitches offer beautiful views over the pentland firth to the island of Stroma and Orkney beyond. Less than 2 miles to the pentland ferry, it’s the perfect stop over before and after exploring Orkney or continuing your NC500 adventure.

• Annie’s Bakery – visit the famous award winning bakery and gift shop just 200 yards from your pitch
• The Castle and Gardens of Mey – The Queen mothers castle with tea rooms and gift shop 2.4 miles 7 minutes drive
• Pentland ferry to St Margaret’s Hope Orkney- 1.7 miles 5 minutes drive or leave your motorhome on your pitch and we will taxi you to and from the ferry, you can cross as a foot passenger and enjoy an organised coach tour of Orkney
• John O Groats signpost – for that bucket list photo! 4.9 miles 9 minutes drive
• 8 Doors Distillery- 4.8 miles 9 minutes drive
• Dunnett Head; lighthouse - most northerly mainland point, great place to spot puffins! 8 miles 20 minutes drive
• Dunnett Beach- beautiful long arch of white sand with a surf school for those looking for an adrenaline rush 6.6 miles 12 minutes drive
