Pretty and peaceful

Parkhouse
Stayed here for a couple days over the New Year period and loved it. The hardstanding pitches were perfect and all the facilities were clean and tidy! We met Jackie, who was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed! The Lady Mary's walk was lovely too and the nights were peaceful.

Top rate site

Parkhouse
Stayed overnight at this CL site again. Owners always friendly and accommodating. As usual we found it to be very clean and well run, using the site as a base for our hill walking, allowing us to reach outlying hills we cannot do in a day. Ideal site for other hill walkers to use. This CL site is certainly on our list of places to stay.

Beautifully located CL Site

Parkhouse
Have stayed at the Parkhouse CL Site on several occasions and have always thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners Jackie & Stuart have always made us so welcome and advised us of the scenic walks available and eateries/shops in nearby Crieff which is only a 15 minute walk away. The site itself is very organised and well kept. Jackie always pops up to check that everything is in order and on occasion has given us fresh eggs from the farm! My husband enjoys fishing for salmon and sea trout in the nearby River Earn which is a big bonus as he is fishing mad! We will definitely be heading back to this lovely well run CL site again this year.

Needs a little TLC

Parkhouse
Stayed here for 3 nights in June. We chose it as Crieff was a good place to meet up with relatives who live in the area. It is easy to find on the edge of the town which is a 20 minute walk away (uphill to James Square). Although the photographs clearly show a predominantly hardstanding surface, like the previous reviewer we were still surprised just how little grass there was between the pitches and how bumpy the surface was. As mentioned, there is a new large housing estate being built directly behind the site but, to be fair, it wasn't too noisy when we were there. Jackie was away so we didn't meet her but she left a message on my phone checking we were ok and how to pay her. The waste facilities are clean but there is no information about the area other than a list of phone numbers pinned to the EHU point. All in all, it is difficult to pinpoint why we did not enjoy our stay at this cl compared to others on our trip other than it just seems a little tired.

More cramped than expected

Parkhouse
Easy to find and pitch up. After a grass CL it initially seemed very hard-core! More grass would have been nicer as our dogs and ourselves like to sit out on some when the weather is as nice as it was. We did feel a bit cramped and close to the caravan in pitch 6 and doubt there was much more than 2m between us. Had we moved over we would have felt too close to our lovely neighbours in pitch 4. There is a new housing estate directly behind the site we weren't aware of, but despite that it was a very quiet spot. The walks around were excellent and shops not far away and the surrounding area is beautiful. We drove around Loch Earn and went to a lovely hotel restaurant in Comrie twice!
