Sruffy

Robertson Lane Farm
A charge of £20 a night should include more than basic facilities, and a waterlogged site, basic and scruffy, will often be going passed Stirling, but will certainly be giving this one a miss

Good level pitches and even a very long EHU cable provided!

Robertson Lane Farm
I needed to stopover on the way south and so phone up at 5.30 ish and arrived about 8. Didn;t actually see anyone (farmers were busy in the yard but I'd been told just to park up) 6 level hardstanding pitches and I guess you could park on the grass if you wanted. The EHU bollard was a very long way behind me at the edge of the field BUT the owners had very thoughtfully provided some extra long cables, so once I attached that to mine I had power! I didbn;t use the tap or the disposal so cannot comment. Paid £20 by bank transfer a couple of days later (I had cash but wasn;t sure where to go to pay) Will almost certainly use again. Good direction instructions too, though the approach road once you leave the main road is long, straight and narrow and in the morning I was treated to an angry looking woman actually tooting at me and glaring because I pulled in to let her pass in the opposite direction. No idea what I did wrong but maybe a local who doesn't like vans (and mines pretty small !)

Just beautiful, Robertson Lane Farm

Robertson Lane Farm

Lovely place and friendly owners. You just arrive and settle. Very happy with the hard standing spot we chose as it rained quite a bit last night and some of our neighbours had their car in a big puddle, so this is to take into consideration when you choose your spot. The water and black water area is a bit far but easily accessible with the motorhome if needed. The views are stunning. Right in nature but close to things to do as well. We paid £20 per night.

Lovely level CL

Robertson Lane Farm
Lovely level CL with open outlook. Choice of hard standing or grass pitch. Owner can supply electric extension cables….just ask! Water at front of house, elsan around the back….maybe a bit of a walk for some but possible to drive to the front of the house for shorter distance. Blair Drummond Safari Park less than two miles away. Stirling and the Trossachs close by. Will definitely use again

Great little site

Robertson Lane Farm
We stayed here for 3 nights when on our way north, and then again for 1 night when heading back south. It is perfectly placed for visiting Stirling and it's historic sites (a short drive). The owner could not be more obliging and friendly. He went out of his way to help with finding a spot to pitch on which was not boggy (there had been a lot of rain during the run-up to our visits). We had no problems getting our motorhome on and off, although you do have to be careful to avoid some boggy areas. The site has a nice open feel, with views of hills and distant mountains. The track leading to the site does have potholes, it is after all a farm track, you simply have to drive very slowly, but it is only a short distance, so we could see no problem with this. We would definitely use this site again.
