Amwlch Certificated Locations

Amlwch is an attractive little village on the north coast of Anglesey, an historic fishing village overlooking Bull Bay. Located away from the busiest tourist honeypots of the island, it offers an ideal location for those who want to enjoy a quiet weekend away from it all.

This makes it perfect for quiet seaside walks and, in the darker months of the year, the low northern seaward horizon means the Northern Lights can occasionally be seen, aided by the area's very low levels of light pollution.

At the same time, it is easy to get down the north-east coast of the island to some fine beaches, from the golden sands of the popular Red Wharf Bay, to the quiet pebble beach at Moelfre. Major attractions like Beaumaris Castle and the railway station sign at Llanfairpwllgyngyllgogerychwyndrobllllantisiliogogogoch - Britain's longest place name - are also easy to reach.
