Why stay here ...

Pen-y-Llyn Club Certificated Location (CL) is exclusively for adults and their pets. The CL pitches are level hardstanding’s approximately 10Mtr * 6Mtr, and have potable water tap, grey waste point and 10 amps electric and are situated on a south facing 1-acre paddock. The site is ideally suited single overnight stays requiring early getaways to the Irish Sea ferries. The site is fully Wi-Fi enabled which is free to all customers, which enables you to stay in touch, plan your itinerary and stay longer on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

A few minutes’ walk from the CL you are on the Valley Wetlands RSPB reserve and the much acclaimed Anglesey coastal footpath - Rhosneigr to the east and Rhoscolyn to the west leading to the beach resort of Trearddur Bay; this particular stretch of the coastal footpath has some stunning views over the cliffs and Irish Sea overlooking colonies of seabirds nesting so don’t forget your camera and binoculars. The fabulous Cymyran beach leading to Rhosneigr is only a 10-15 minute walk from the main gate, and the Cymyran Hotel with its fabulous bar and bistro is a 5-minute walk away for drinks and meals out if you wish.

We especially welcome dogs on the site however, we do expect all owners to keep them on a suitable lead at all times and pick up after them and dispose of the waste appropriately in the bins provided. We have an onsite enclosed dog walk for CL customers, the local area is ideal for dog walking as the beach at Cymyran allows dogs all year round and most footpaths are along enclosed walkways.

The local area provides plenty to do including, Plane Spotting - RAF Valley, Walking the Anglesey Coastal Footpath, Cycling on Sustrans Cycle Route 8, Day trip to Cardiff by plane from Anglesey Airport which is 1 mile from the CL Site,  we can drop off and collect if required, take a day trip to Ireland by fast ferry, Golf on one of the many Anglesey Golf Courses, get out on the water with an exhilarating Rib Ride with SBS Boat charter, explore some of the local castles or venture further into the Snowdonia national park. Activities abound including just sitting and enjoying the local environment.

We advise you use 8" - 12" awning pegs as the pitches are made up of stone and gravel, the ideal pegs can be found at caravanalia.com and we also sell them on site.

All visitors to our CL must be adults (18 years and older) and members of the Club, the maximum stay is 28 days and we do not accept groups.

Stunning site

This was a lucky find for us. Even though the weather had put everyone else off (strong winds during last week Feb2020) we were the only ones on site, it didn't change the fact that this is a wonderful site. Good size pitches. Toilet block with washing machine. Showers. Beautifully kept site with a friendly welcome including a pack full of places of interest. A fabulous dog walk attached but plenty of other places to walk with easy access to the beach. Obviously there is some noise from aircraft at the nearby RAF Valley airfield. But these are fascinating to watch. An abundance of bird life. Very easy to walk to Rhosneigr. We couldn't believe how wonderful this site was and will definitely return.

Beautiful site, one of the best have found

Easy access, beautiful site, stunning planting of flower beds and trees. Spacious, lovely views and if you like aircraft an absolute must for RAF Valley is right nearby. We loved the jets but for those who want total tranquility all the time maybe this is not for you. They do stop at teatime and one day did not start until after lunch. The only reason I did not give a 10 is for peace and tranquility was because of the jets (which we knew about and wanted to see), otherwise it was peaceful and tranquil before and after them. The owners are lovely, friendly and informative and we will definitely return to this site. Out of the many lovely CL sites we have visited, this is my joint favourite along with Welltrough Farm.

Not only the best CL ever, but better than any other site we have visited!

I can't praise this CL site highly enough. The pitches are some of the largest we have seen, and fully serviced, too. A very warm welcome from Catherine and her husband, and his mum - all lovely and friendly and helpful. I am going to list the good points - and can honestly say that for us there were no negatives whatsoever! Excellent welcome pack with a newsletter and lots of local / tourist information. Showers and toilets are immaculately clean. Grounds are beautifully maintained, lawns mowed, edges cut, help yourself herb gardens. Very quiet and peaceful - the only exception to this is the wonderful sight of the jets flying over from RAF Valley, and if you can't appreciate this then you are mad!! They don't fly evenings and weekends but for us this was a highlight of our stay! Well placed for easy access to main roads for accessing the wonderful beaches and tourist attractions on the island - but still peaceful with no road noise. Fresh eggs and marmalade for sale, also some plants. Basket of magazines to read, books and DVD's (these are in the beach hut loos, which you'd miss if you use the other block,as we did). The Bull Inn served excellent food, had a very smart dining room and a weekly quiz night. To be honest, I could rave on for ever about this site, it was amazing, and we absolutely loved Anglesey - what a beautiful place to visit (and to live).

Very good few days

Easy access from A55. Nice open site with flat hardstanding pitches, and raised flower beds between pitches. 15 or 20 minute stroll to beach. Good spot for exploring Anglesey. Best toilet block we have ever seen on a CL. Excellent spot if you like aircraft, lots of activity from RAF Valley. Would definitely return.

Nice site but!

This is not just a 5 van CL site although the 5 vans are in their own area. The Cl site is in a decent size field but you are quite close to the other units considering the spacious field. There is one shower which is used by all 3 sites but on saying this we did not queue (perhaps we were lucky). Overall quite a nice site but paying £25 per night too expensive.
