Why stay here ...

Llainfran CL Site is set in a quiet picturesque rural area of Wales, within a mile of Cwmtydu Cove and three miles from the small seaside town of New Quay, made famous by Dylan Thomas, with its stone quay, sandy beaches, cafes and restaurants. Dolphin spotting is a popular pastime.

All pitches have complimentary fast WiFi and good TV reception to ensure trouble free internet access and home working for those that need it.

This rugged heritage coastline has some spectacular cliffs, hidden coves, wooded valleys, waterfalls and dramatic headlands jutting out into Cardigan Bay. The Wales Coast Path is in walking distance of Llainfran providing good access to this fascinating coastline. The historic coastal towns of Aberaeron and Cardigan are a short drive away, and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is within half an hour away. In the autumn months Atlantic seals and their pups can often be seen at Cwmtydu Cove and from the coastal cliffs.

Access is an easy sweep into our 1.75 acre spacious lawned site which gently slopes towards the sea, with beautiful views across Cardigan Bay. There are views of the Llyn Peninsula and Bardsey Island on a clear day and spectacular sunsets appear throughout summer months. All of our spacious grass pitches have electric hook-ups and ample space for awnings and cars. There is also an enclosed dog walk area, where your dog may safely run off the lead.
Our toilet and shower facilities were upgraded in 2020 and include a laundry and wash-up area.

Please note, we require all visitors to use organic green toilet fluid and rinse.

Sorry but we are currently unable to cater for electric car charging.

We are able to advise you on local walks, places to visit and local amenities.

We take waste recycling seriously and provide our own waste recycling room to help guests minimise general waste.

Llainfran still retains some 16 acres of farmland, and the lower fields are grazed by sheep, two donkeys and our alpacas. We have tranquil farmland walks and a wildlife pond supporting many birds and wildlife which you are welcome to visit.

We have two 5* graded holiday cottages and two 4* graded cottages on site and in the next village sleeping between 2 and 6 people. Llainfran House provides boutique guest rooms serving healthy meat free breakfasts.

Please note that due to our grass pitches we can only take motorhome and campervan bookings between mid-May and mid-September. Provision outside these dates at short notice is weather dependent - please enquire. Please note, the maximum motorhome length we can accommodate is 6.0 metres. Please check with us when booking.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing holiday, on a CL site with great coastal views, easy access and spacious pitches, then look no further. We look forward to meeting you.

Fantastic!

Llainfran
This is our second visit to Llainfran CL site. We have absolutely loved each visit and will return as we love it! Jane and Gary are very welcoming and helpful hosts of Llainfran. On arrival we knew where to pitch and although you will need to level, the site provides some blocks. We had our own and it was easy. The site itself is perfect with stunning sea views, you can sit in your caravan and just relax! The recycling facilities on site are brilliant and we had the tiniest bag of refuse at the end of our weeks stay, which is very positive thing indeed! There are really good, immaculately clean shower facilities and if you need washing and drying this is available and reasonable too. We did take our pots down to wash at the sink as it was so easy! There is also super dog walking enclosed paddock, which was great! The local area is simply amazing. We loved the coastal walks and the wildlife is just beautiful. If you want a relaxing holiday, with great facilities and hosts, this is perfect!

Fabulous stay

Llainfran
We were greeted at the entrance by the board which tells you which pitch you've been allocated. This is a bonus after having been to many CL's and we can often waste time deciding where we want to pitch up, so thank you, it saved us the dilemma. The site is beautifully kept, everything is so well maintained it was easy just to settle in and enjoy the peace and quiet. The site is well situated to visit lots of small coves and we were lucky on the day we visited New Quay, while we were sat having our lunch overlooking the harbour to see a Dolphin bobbing around in the water, no need to go out on a boat trip!! Our thanks to Jane and her family for the lovely welcome and information about the area. A wonderful restful few days.

Absolutely fabulous CL site.

Llainfran
Absolutely fabulous CL site. Everything you could want from a CL - peaceful location, fabulous view, immaculate toilets and showers. Also the provision of laundry facilities was much appreciated. We would certainly recommend this site.

September Break

Llainfran
On arrival to site there is a board to tell you which pitch to use, the pitches are very spacious and generous. Once pitched up we were greeted by Gary who was very quick to advise us of there T&C's as we did not receive their welcome email. Unfortunately due to the weather and us having a dog we had set up our awning and placed down a ground sheet for our 4 night stay (wanting to dry us and the dog off on the ground sheet rather than the very wet grass). Apparently this is a big no as it could ruin the grass (so bare this in mind). The site is very peaceful and some lovely scenery, nearest eating establishments are about 50min walk away or a short drive. Toilet block was clean and tidy, if planning on using your own facilities make sure you have green loo or you will not be able to empty your cassette.

Everything a CL should be

Llainfran
Had 6 nights here Sept 2023, helped by 6 hot sunny days and no rain. Really good CL, spacious pitches, clean toilets and showers, acceesible Elsan point. Some great walks around site. Don't follow Sat Nav, it covers too wide an area, use Goggle Maps and if you can use lat and long co ordinates. V good beach and cafe (Beach Hut) at Llangrannog about 4 miles away. Really enjoyd our stay
