Very relaxing site

Have just returned from three very tranquil, relaxing weeks on this site. Yes, the entrance demands a fair bit of care but once on site, peace. Appart from the sheep, two friendly pigs, occasional visit from Tip, the dog, and birds thats it. Fabulous. A big thankyou to the Taylor family

A Peacefull retreat

Lovely site a little tight access but quiet and a good base for seeing all that north Wales has to offer. We spent a week here mid june 2016. Even the sheep and small pigs are friendly, we will go back and can recommend if you want to be left alone to do your own thing. Only down side would be the toilet / shower it's on the tired side but clean.

Great LocalPlacesOfInterest but..

This site has alot going for it. Easy to find, great location, offers the use of a shower and toilet in a screened field, but....the grass was long, the approach road is narrow and very very uneven with low overhanging trees at the entrance so care needs to be taken, and the shower really does need to be upgraded and cleaned each day. The owner turned up just as we were leaving to collect the money!! If we were to return then some attention needs to be made to the overall standard. Sorry! Ideal location for Denbigh though with it's castle and really nice town centre just 5mins away in the car. So if it's base you want it may suit your needs, but for onsite relaxation and scenery you may need to think again.

Ancient walled garden

This is a very pleasant site is in a picturesque and ancient walled garden of about HALF an acre, behind the 16th century manor house, with views over the fields to Denbigh castle from one corner. The walls shelter it from the weather and the noise of the nearby A525 is inaudible. There are plenty of interesting places to see nearby: Ruthin, Denbigh, Rhuddlan castle, St. Asaph cathedral, Bodelwyddan castle and church, Holywell, and the seaside at Rhyl, or it is a good base for walking in the Clwydian hills. The facilities are adequately clean, and if you can't find the drinking water, the tap is concealed in the ivy on the wall of toilet/shower building.

Peace & quiet

Just back from a week at this lovely CL. Lovely spaced out pitches (some hard standing). Although the site is sloping, the pitch we had (grass) was lovely and level and had the most fantastic view. The facilities were kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The road up to the farm is quite narrow so need to take care there. There are no dog walking facilities other than out on the narrow lane but in St. Asaph (two minute drive away) there are some lovely walks along by the river. A beautiful site, would definitely stay here again.
