Why stay here ...

Abergwynant Farm is a working sheep farm and livery stables set amidst the outstanding scenery of the Snowdonia National park. Nestling in the foothills of Cader Idris and close to the Mawddach estuary this is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday in your caravan or motor home.

It is an ideal touring base for exploring North and Mid Wales. The popular beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth are close by. Cyclists and walkers are well catered for with direct access to the Mawddach trail from the farm. Several of the Great Little Trains of Wales are within easy reach as well as the Coed-y-Brenin forest park.

The CL site is a lawned paddock accessed by a tarmac driveway from the main road. We have 5 pitches available for a caravan or motor home with an awning. There is an electric and TV hook-up available and we have our own filtered spring water supply. A toilet and shower block is available but please not these are located 200 yards from the main site. We have a laundry room available and a payphone. Dogs are welcome but we do ask they are kept on a lead whilst on the site and farm.

One of the best CLs ever!

Swn-Y-Nant
We enjoyed a week in paradise at Swn-Y-Nant in a heat wave in July! What an idyllic location, well-situated for many local activities and amenities, yet in a most beautiful and peaceful setting. We were greeted and looked after very well by Rupert. We will definitely be returning!

So Relaxing!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Was welcomed by Rupert as soon as I arrived. He is easily accessible, his house being close to site. Gave me information about the area and buses in the area. Weather in April was very dry and almost cloudless skies for my 5 night stay ,though a little cool. Excellent place for walking and cycling with Mawddach Trail easily accessible. On one day an easy cycle ride to Dolgellau then back to Penmaenpool then across bridge to walk up to the New Precipice Ridge for fabulous view of the estuary! Then on another climbing Cader Idris., again being lucky with superb views! Lady looking after the horses in the field opposite the site told me how old they were and their temperaments!( the oldest was 30 years old !!) Would thoroughly recommend this sight.

Great location, short walk to Mawddach trail, where you can walk or cycle, beautiful views to be seen. for awareness phone signal and internet connection where non existent, but for a peaceful weekend in the Welsh countryside highly recommended.

Stunning views to wake up to.

Just had a lovely few days at Swn y Nant. Very quiet site. If your keen on cycling as we are, there's easy access to the beautiful Mawddach trail with traffic free riding to Dolgellau one way or Barmouth the other way. We also enjoyed a walk around the Abergwynant woods next to the site.

I would like to thank Rupert Jones and is family for fitting us in at short notice. Rupert allowed us to pitch near the farms natural pound. This was with out a doubt one of our best over night stops over the August Bank holiday Regards Mark
