Great Stopover

Foxcombe House
Stayed here for two nights. Large well mowed field on a slight slope. EHU available, water and bins at entrance to field. Single toilet and single shower (50p) are available but no heating located 50yards from field entrance. Ten min walk into Manorbier which has a quirky pub, great beach and a castle. Bus stop to Tenby 5 min walk away through the two fields. Ceri was very helpful and friendly. They came to our aid when our motorhome got stuck in the wet field after Storm Arwen. They towed us free with their Toyota truck. Would i stay again …. Yes, but he careful when the field is very wet.

Filthy toilet and shower

Foxcombe House
Large field, east to find but narrow entrance. Toilet disgusting, bin (waste paper but had been used as a sanitary bin) was overflowing. Mildew & cobwebs. Shower slightly better, but still dirty. 50p gave enough hot water for a quick shower. Tenby just a short drive away. Nobody took a booking, we were just told to turn up. No details were taken from us, just a cash payment. Won't be returning

What a Gem!

Foxcombe House
The welcome by the site owners was second to non. Everyone we spoke to was delightful and encouraged us to relax and enjoy our holiday. The location is next door to the exercise field for the dog kennels and whilst there was one night we could hear a dog yapping, for the most part the kennels weren’t an issue. The site is in a great location. A short walk through the fields takes you to Manobier where there are plenty of amenities including shop, pub and tea shop as well as interesting sites including a twelfth century church, beach and a castle. There is a slightly longer walk to the village catching in some of the coastal path where the views are stunning and well worth the effort. The only reason for giving four stars are the showers and toilets. Whilst serviceable, they do need updating and aren’t perhaps suitable for all.

Nice site ,,, shame about the toilets !!

Foxcombe House
Nice clean large field , with water tap and rubbish bins. Plenty of space - if the owner sticks to 5 caravans/motorhomes.. narrow turning from road into site ( foxcombe boarding kennels ) then bad road with pot holes, to site on the right. Sloping a little . surrounded by trees . Kennels further down the bumpy road . Barking dogs was really never a problem .. as it was mostly quiet on the the site. At the kennels buildings was the toilet and shower ... one of each. The shower took 50 p , but we used our van shower. The toilet was a big let down . Disgusting really. Only cleaned once a week , and that was just to empty the bin. Very small , with a combination of essentials scattered about . I complained. ... all in all it was not a bad site except for toilet !!... but we wont be going again

Nice Place BUT...

Foxcombe House
Very nice stay, but with a couple of problems, 1. Didn't see the owners to take payment, had to leave it on the office desk when leaving. 2. Electric hook up appeared to be a problem, I was only drawing 5A sometimes less and my fridge would switch to gas, it only does this when the supply voltage drops, they could benefit with having an electrician look at this. Putting a better supply in? 3. 6 units on the site when I thought 5 was max, there is enough room but that probably didn't help with the power problem.
