A lovely Stay and Highly Recommended

Willingcott Club Campsite
We initially booked for 4 nights and stayed for 5. We were warmly welcomed and from the moment we arrived to the time we left we found the staff helpful and engaging. Our pitch was well kept. The facilities were nice and clean with very good showers and wash facilities. The Information Room was a welcome bonus, with numerous maps, local guides etc. The scheduled maintenance of the electric point was communicated well before hand and as such did not pose an inconvenience, and the pitch upkeep was efficient and not too obtrusive. We enjoyed the cycle path adjacent to the site. The ride down to Ilfracombe is easy, with plenty of wildlife to keep it interesting. From the path we were lucky to see the local sheep dogs being trained ready for the weekly demonstrations near the site. On the return from Ilfracombe, the steady climb back to the site made for a rewarding challenge. We made a couple of trips to Woolacombe thanks to the easy road links. Croyde was more of a rewarding challenge, unless we went via the alternative route through Braunton. We would like to thank the staff at the site. All in all, we had a lovely time, making for an easy decision to stay an extra night and we look forward to returning.

A good site for Woolacombe Bay.

Willingcott Club Campsite
I stayed here in my camper van as a single lady for 6 nights. It was pleasant. Had to move halfway through to quieter spot, but then it was fine. Staff were lovely. I also enjoyed the information room. Shame about Woolacombe Bay car park prices - mine was £10. Plus, being a spring tide I couldn't find the sea for 2 days! Would definitely stay again. Very good value for me on economy pitch. £100 all in.

4-day visit

Willingcott Club Campsite
We had 4 nights here staying on a hard standing in the lower part of the site, the upper part being a bit featureless. The site’s main asset is the tarmacked Tarka path/cycleway which follows a disused RW line right past the site to Ilfracombe. All walks start and finish on it. On days one and two we walked into Woolacombe but by different routes and on the third day we walked into Ilfracombe. There are regular bus services to Mortehoe, Woolacombe, Braunton, Barnstaple from a bus stop that is a short hop along the Tarka Way.

Willingcott Club Campsite
My wife and I stayed at this site from 2nd to 9th Sept 23 very nice site clean tidy polite friendly staff there to help when needed the usual stuff you would find on club site. A nice touch which I have not seen before is in the information room they had printed the main supermarkets postcodes so you knew where they were. (A heads up if you decide to go there is aim for the B3343 turn left at the pink house short approach road to entrance to site) 10 out of 10 all round

Another lovely stay

Willingcott Club Campsite
Another great stay. This time we headed to the top of the site, felt a little closer to the toilets etc. Stayed on pitch 96 which had a good triangle of grass besides it, great for our pooch. As said by others, everything is immaculate. The wardens are friendly and helpful. There is a hut for borrowing beach items, bucket and spades, belly boards, windbreak, excellent idea. No shop unfortunately but no problems whatsoever. Wholeheartedly recommend.
