Set in National Trust woodland, Kendal Club Campsite is so peaceful you'll not want to leave. From the country lane approach running beside a tumbling river, to the glades where you can pitch amidst the wild flowers, this caravan park is a small slice of heaven. Some will be interested to know that Kendal Club Campsite is on the site of a 19thC gunpowder mill.
Kendal Club Campsite lets you enjoy nature to the full, from the swoop of the fells to the luxurious blue of the lakes There are several scenic walks to be had and don't forget to bring along your binoculars because the bird life is varied and colourful. If you're a wild flower enthusiast you won't be disappointed as you'll see a range of marvellous blooms on display, not least wild orchids. For those who enjoy the sport of fishing, the caravan site also features a river that is popular amongst anglers (with a National River Licence). When you fancy a bite to eat, the nearby market town of Kendal is famous for its mint cake and trusted for its hearty meals. Nearby facilities including a farm shop, supermarket and cafe, enable you to conveniently stock up on supplies for your holiday.
The site is a great base from which to explore the delights of Cumbria and an ideal stopover point for onward travel towards Scotland.

Please do not use sat nav for the final approach, due to unsuitable roads for towing. Leave the M6 at junction 36 onto the A590 dual carriageway (signposted South Lakes). In about 3.25 miles leave via slip road signposted Milnthorpe, Barrow. At the roundabout follow international Caravan Site signs and turn into a road signposted Sedgwick. In 150 yards turn left into lane parallel with River Kent. At the junction fork right and continue along riverside. The site entrance is on the left in about 0.5 mile. This is a narrow single track, with passing places.
