Once the royal hunting forest of William the Conqueror and now a beautiful National Park, Black Knowl Club Campsite has an open, peaceful aspect while being conveniently located within walking distance of Brockenhurst. The Hampshire caravan site is in a wonderful setting in the forest and in October at night, stags can be heard roaring in the forest, along with owls and other forest creatures. The town offers plenty of good quality restaurants, places of interest and shopping treats to keep everyone in the family happy on their holiday.

Black Knowl Club Campsite opens onto over 140 miles of lovely walking track for you to explore in the Forest whether on foot, cycle or horseback. For those with an interest in local history, The Lyndhurst Museum and Visitors' Centre will shed more than enough light on the rich and fascinating past of the Forest. Other nearby attractions include The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Exbury Gardens and The New Forest Reptile Centre. For those who dream of taking to the open sea, cruise ships can be viewed on the nearby Solent. You can reach the Isle of Wight via Lymington Ferry and visit Lepe Country Park by the sea with a cafe (seasonal and weekend openings) and children's play area and BBQ area for hire. If you fancy some retail therapy, the Southampton and Bournemouth shopping centres are within easy driving distance from the caravan park and will leave you spoilt for choice.

If you are fancying a take away, Brockenhurst has a great choice. Details of all restaurants, take aways and days out are available in our Information Room.

Excellent site

Black Knowl Club Campsite
This is the most expensive club site we have stayed at, but it was worth the money. Lovely location, great facilities and friendly and helpful staff. Great for the dog as well as able to walk in the forest direct from the site.

Beautiful site

Black Knowl Club Campsite
Beautiful quiet site Love the walks and our dog especially liked the stream which was 5 minutes walk from the site. You can cycle into Brockenhurst in about 10minutes. There is a lovely bakers, pet shop and butchers aswell as a couple of tea rooms. It would be about a 40 minute walk. Will definitely return just a shame it’s such a long way from home

Excellent location, Excellent site, great staff

Black Knowl Club Campsite
The site is excellently placed for access straight onto the forest in just a couple of hundred yards. Brockenhurst is in easy walking distance and many different walks are possible from site. The facilities are excellent and very clean . The staff are very friendly , efficient and helpful. Food vans arrived every night Mon-Friday. The dog area on site is very small but this should not be a problem as forest is on the doorstep. Essentials and ice creams are available from the small shop and lots of information is available in the information hut. Unfortunately the Wi-fi is absolutely awful and the site has now done away with dustbins and all rubbish now has to be taken to the Biffa bins at the site exit . (I was told that this was now CAMC policy for reasons of sustainability and recycling - I can see that this saves the need for black bags - a cost saving that the club will no doubt pass on to its members- but resulted in us recycling less as we put everything in one bag as we had to take it to exit and could not just pop to the nearby bin, I also note that neither of the other 2 CAMC sites which we stayed on in August had done away with dustbins, nor had other sites we stayed on earlier in year ). This was our 3rd visit to this site this year and the 3rd year running which we have stayed here. It is a very popular (and expensive ) site but still worth it in my opinion despite the awful Wi-fi.

Good site in a lovely location

Black Knowl Club Campsite
Our 2nd visit this year and although busier as it was August, it was still a lovely site. As before, the staff we all very friendly and helpful. The site is clean and tidy. Although this is a around a 25 minute walk to the village, it is across some lovely fields where wild horses and cattle roam. If you have bicycles or a car to visit the surrounding areas/town which there are many in that area, its a great central place to stay.

Quiet, Clean, great staff and upkeep standards

Black Knowl Club Campsite
I travelled here alone with my 3 dogs and caravan for a week long stay and my husband visited a few times during the daytime on his bike/train from Reading to Brock. It was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly. My dogs were relaxed and happy here. The kids were cycling around the site and a large family were camped on the adjacent pitch being noisy but it didnt disturb us as they were quiet early morning & late evening times. The sensors on the loos were slightly stressful until you get the hang of using them. Better signage instructions would solve this issue. Everyone drove slowly and it was quite a safe place to stay on the whole. The prices were high but facilities were excellent.
