Directions

Map showing campsite location

Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not sat nav, due to unsuitable roads for towing. From East on A684: turn right about 0.75 mile past railway bridge with traffic lights and just before the Pheasant Inn at Harmby. Cross the railway bridge, immediately turn left and follow signs to the site entrance. From West on A684: turn left just past the Pheasant Inn at Harmby; then as above. The route from M6 junction 37 via Sedbergh is not advised, being narrow in places. The immediate approach road to the site is narrow, with steep blind bends (look for traffic mirrors on bends).

Great stay in Wensleydale

Lower Wensleydale Club Campsite
On our way home after 5 nights in this lovely campsite. Very friendly and helpful staff gave us a warm welcome. Extremely well kept site with excellent facilities...yes the showers are a little old, but so are most of the people using them! The important thing is they are spotlessly clean, have loads of hot water and the building is lovely and warm. Great dog walking and even a dedicated, well fenced space for them to run off the lead. All in all, the perfect place from where to explore beautiful Wensleydale ❤️

Needs updating.

Lower Wensleydale Club Campsite
A good stop gap. There are no facilities for children or WiFi so please make sure you have good 4/5G Children are not to use wheels or games outside. The facilities are ok but not very private! The showers and surrounding area was VERY wet due to no shower curtains. Our pitch was far too small for our caravan and on a slope!! Needs better management in that department. The staff were friendly. If you have dogs like ours (gun and terrier) There’s lots of bunnies….. maybe a few less now actually

Beautiful site. Peaceful. Brilliant staff.

Lower Wensleydale Club Campsite
Check in was efficient and staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely pitch with a view over part of this beautiful site. A very peaceful weekend stay. The shower block is dated but kept wonderfully clean. This is probably our favourite site. We will definitely be back.

Nice site but unfriendly and unwelcoming staff

Lower Wensleydale Club Campsite
Really nice site in a wooded area on different levels. Only one toilet and shower block. Very clean but drainage in the showers is not great and shower flow is poor. Very hot water :) Unfortunately our experience with the staff was very poor. We were met with unfriendly and unhelpful male member of staff when I was struggling with check in and they didn't engage at all with our little boy (3 years) during our stay. The female member of staff was really nice though. No play ground but as it was so quiet our little boy could easily play on his balance bike which was nice.

Excellent peaceful stay.

Lower Wensleydale Club Campsite
Stayed for a couple of days in early August. The site is really well looked after and probably one of the quietest and most peaceful sites we've come across. Despite the fact it was school holidays we didn't see any children at all whilst there. The walk into Leyburn is easy (one of us uses a wheelchair and it was no problem at all) and it's a nice town with plenty of shops, pubs and cafes, we also spent a small fortune in the chocolate factory and the pottery! Staff were welcoming and helpful and pitches are well spaced. Facilities are clean. It's important to follow the site directions as the satnav does not take you to the site and i saw a couple of other driving around searching for the site.
