Morvich Mountain Magic

Morvich Club Campsite
Came to Morvich in early September to go hillwalking and enjoy beautiful Kintail. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this peaceful location and really appreciated the kindness of Judith & Simon who were very welcoming and happy to answer my questions throughout my 4 night stay. The site and facilities are clean and well kept: The showers are hot; drain well so you're not paddling; don't spray all over your dry clothing and give sufficient room for you to get dry and dressed. A big plus after a long day on the hills! Many thanks; I'll be back.

Warmly welcomed despite being much later than indicated. A nice quiet site in a fantastic location for those that love walking. Geat facilities, kept scrupulously clean by the site managers. I will be back!

Lovely stay in Beautiful surroundings…

Morvich Club Campsite
We stopped in Morvich in August 2024 and enjoyed our stay very much. The scenery and surrounding area is beautiful and the site is well maintained, ran by a lovely helpful couple. (Leaving Skye a day early due to severe winds and after making an easy telephone call to the Morvich site thankfully we were able to start our stay sooner than expected and they couldn’t have been more welcoming.) Peaceful, nicely spaced pitches and very clean facilities. Definitely recommend.

Best site in the country

Morvich Club Campsite
I have stayed here many times over the years, even before it was the caravan club. Nothing gets close to the location, absolutely beautiful scenery, mountains, The Five Sisters of Kintail are a hill walkers dream as are the other mountains in the area. Loch Duich is less than a mile away and there are many different types of wildlife in the area including Golden Eagles, red dear, otters, seals, porpoises all in Loch Duich. Feral mountain goats roam the hills and often can be seen in Shiel Bridge. The Falls of Glomach which one of the highest in Britain are a 7 mile hike away, only for experienced walkers really as it’s steep and boggy in places. The clan MacRae burial ground is at Clachan Duich just off the road to the site and Eilean Donan Castle which is a MacRae stronghold is 7 miles to the west on the A87 towards Dornie. Kyle of Lochalsh is another 8 miles past Dornie where there is places to eat etc and the bridge over to the Isle of Skye and all that Skye has to offer. Plockton is a nice place to visit and Durinish to see the highland cattle farm were you can have photos and feed them. The site itself is very well kept with excellent wardens who will help anyone. It’s clean and tidy, toilet block is spotless as is the laundry room and dry room. There is a room with a tv and a pool table, ideal for family championships and an info room with details of places to visit, eat etc. also detailed walking routes off the ranger at the NTS.

Disappointed

Morvich Club Campsite
We enjoyed a few nights here in July. The site is on a great location, very quiet with lovely views. The shower/toilet facilities a little dated in comparison to other sites but are clean. Great drying room available next to the laundry room. We sadly didn't find the staff very friendly, they tended to speak to 'certain individuals' but had no time for others and were rather rude when you did ask for assistance or guidance - something we have never experienced in our time as members.
