Covid 19 and membership

As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

Steve,

I agree with most of your sentiments.

Take comfort from the fact that it hasn't "added £27 per night to the cost" of your stays. If you hadn't been members and the sites you stayed on accepted non-members you would have paid £12 extra per night as non-members over the price you actually paid.

As you appreciate you will have membership when the crisis is over.

You also have a comprehensive book of sites and will receive a year's editions of the magazine.

True, I'd forgotten about that saving, so I'm only £30 down on the deal sealed. I don't care about the 'lost' money, not least because I have had health problems over the last 2 or 3 years and have spent Summers when I could have been away in the sun, sat at home, waiting for hospital tests or for the results.

And, on the bright side, today is State Pension payment day, so I've made it through to another income date ... As I explained to a sceptical Bank employee who questioned my ability to fund my folding caravan finance package:

'You could lose your job and then you would have a much reduced income with which to pay your bills. I only have to wake up each morning ...'

Two can play at being sarky!

Steve

That's funny, I should have thought about that when my hip replacement which put me out of action for three months and when Margaret had her heart bypass operation that put our touring on hold for five months. I was a bit slow on the uptake there I should have applied for a temporary suspension of our membershipwink

As well as owning my motorhome I have a share in a narrowboat and have just received an e-mail advising me that the Marina have told us not to use the boat at the moment. Unless this changes before my booked weeks in June, I am paying over £1,000 this year for a boat that I am unable to use and a motorhome that is insured, has an MOT and breakdown insurance (but not taxed at the moment), and I also pay C&MHC fees and C&MHC internet fee. I am not best pleased about paying for things that I cannot use but I am philosophical about it as it could be worse and for some, it already is!

It will affect us all financially, and for some the hit will be harder. Without sounding too dramatic I'll accept surviving this one as an added bonus to my bank account.
