Covid 19 and membership

As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

Wonder if the C&MC will extend their vouchers by another year given that most won't get to use them this year?

Morning

Monetary vouchers don't have a date on them TG but I would use a common sense approach with regard to site night vouchers. In the scheme of things when we pick up the pieces a date on a voucher will be a dip in the ocean I think? That's just my opinion though.

Yesterday I posted a thread on this subject by mistake not knowing a discussion had already been started. My thread was closed down and directed here. However before a reply had been placed by Fozzie from Kent obviously implying I was objecting to paying 12 or 13 pounds whilst the sites are closed especially the last paragraph  ' Such a shame I posted it '

Well sadly it is such a shame Fozzie got his wires crossed here I feel that what I was trying to do was put over a reply, in a jovial way,  to the FAQ's in the membership area regarding the club and covid-19 and the subject of suspension, pausing etc of fees. As can be seen by my post I was only commenting on the long winded explanation and not actually answering the question in a manner politicians are often accused of. An actual No or Yes would have done.

I do actually feel we would still have to carry on payment as bills/wages etc have to be paid.

Cheers JK, it is the site night vouchers I was referring to.

We have 4 to use that are due run out at the end of this year.

Intended to use them at the end of last year in France and Spain sadly we didn't get to do so as my Mum passed away and we abandoned the holiday. When things calm down a bit I'll ask the club if they are extending them.

Looking at how things are going over the water, I'm not so confidant that we will even get back there at the end of this year yet.

Must admit we're thinking of moving our September bookings along to next year when BF bring out their new 2021 timetables. Even if this blows over I can see France being packed to the rafters and/or a lot of sites that have missed the summer bookings not bothering opening. We might let the rush subside until next year.

I really appreciate our club and am content to lose 3 months use of membership.

I do find the increases in site fees rather annoying though....

Stay well everyone....follow the regulations !

Our thoughts to WN, there are a lot of sites that start to close down from  the middle of September, will they even bother to open at all.

If Spain is open for business this autumn/winter I think their sites will be very busy to.

I can't see them going down anytime soon though, as they'll have some serious holes in the finance to fill.

We hadn't actually booked anything so far, but have also thought that, even if we could get to France, there may be problems finding sites open.  Mind you, staying in the UK could have problems too, if everyone thinks along the same lines frown

I believe that France is still tightening up the Movement Restrictions and extending their time period, not least because it hasn't yet arrested the infection spread [infection and death figures cover only hospital cases and it will take about 1 week to add in the retirement home figures].

With a mainstream 4 months season, it wouldn't be surprising if this year was just written off, or perhaps limited to the  'old favourites', especially if the French Business Support Package is not delivered quickly.
