Covid 19 and membership

As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

What's the phrase "No pockets in a shroud"

There was a report, well over 30 years ago, of an enterprising vicar who was struggling to extract donations from his congregation [pre-ordination of females so not gender biased personal pronoun ...]. The vicar put a sign at the side of the Collection Plate that read:

'You cannot take it with you, but you can send it on ahead ...'

I would hope that after reading all the above contributions and being aware of the latest Government restrictions "marsdensear" and the two people who liked his/her post will now realise the total inappropriateness of that viewpoint..…… but will they?

Unfortunately, people who only think of themselves have always been around. I have found it heartening to read so many posts from people distancing themselves from the op  thus showing that it is by far a minority view.

Thank you to all who have taken the time to contribute.

I must be very naive, as suspension of membership had never occurred to me.

I hope the OP never has anything really serious to deal with, because I don't hold out much hope, if the princely sum of £13.50 is more important at this moment in time.

I agree with previous posters, I'll be very thankful if both OH and I, and the rest of the family, come through this.  If we are then fortunate enough to be able to carry on using the Club sites we want to use, then they can have my £13.50 with pleasure.

It hadn't occurred to me and I really couldnt't care but I have had mail from other organizations freezing my membership direct debits for the foreseeable future so maybe they are more interested in the long term loyalty of their clients.

or rather more frightened about losing their long term loyalty? Other products are available after all but perhaps the club is more secure than that.

The National Trust have closed all their houses and now all of their local coastal car parks (Which is one of the main reasons I joined in the first place, for walking the dog). also the RSPB have closed all their reserves, member of Both as well as the CMC

Will I be cancelling my Membership of any of them ?  No.....

As long as my Pension continues to be paid into my account as normal.

In respect of a membership refund, I really couldn't care less. The club, just like any other organisation, may or may not even survive this current crisis or how long it will continue.... no-one really knows at the moment.

I'm also about to pay £265 vehicle excise duty for our van which is unlikely to move before July at the very earliest... I'm not expecting a refund for that either.

What I am worried about, is who will and will not survive this.

Could you not SWORN your van ???
