As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

Can't see France being open for business anytime soon, even if they were who would want to chance it. You might if you had already had the virus but until we know thatot pr

I think more importantly, are we going to be able to get travel insurance, lots of reports in the press this morning re insurance companies not providing travel insurance any time soon, and you can bet your bottom dollar, if you can get it, it will not cover covid-19undecided

I think that is a distinct possibility Rufs I said as much on one of the other threads. I think in future you will either see an exclusion for covid -19 or they may offer cover but at a price.

How one could prove to the insurance company that they had already had the virus will no doubt be raised at some point.

This has to be one of the most tasteless uncaring post i have ever read, are you really bothered about what probably equates £12.50 when there are front line nurses and doctors dying  whilst looking after very poorly people. The fact that you have thought about and then submitted the post is ridiculous i was under the impression that the majority of members were caring and friendly people but this post i find distasteful. I hope my comments are not removed and more members put their thoughts on this post. If the money is such a concern as it appears by your post then I will pay for the loss of time available and then hope people like you do not renew their membership next time its due,  I continue to pay £600.00 a year for my road tax on a car that I am using very little, do i want a refund NO my caravan is not moving do i need a refund on my £360,00 No my insurance on my vehicles is £1700.00 do i expect a refund NO. Money is the last thing on my mind  my priority is that none of my family fall ill and end up in hospital. I have a booking from the first of July I look forward to going all being well and having an absolutely wonderful time.

Whether there are greater considerations for all at present that does not make make anybody uncaring for believing that any organisation that cannot provide a service for which they have received payment should not consider some form of recompense. I would not condemn anybody for raising the issue even though I am not personally concerned about what, for me, is a trvial amount.

I've had an Email from English Heritage offering to extend my membership to 15 months to account for the shut down but one can forgo it as many of these organisations will be struggling in the future.

In all the time this medical emergency has been going i can say with my hand on heart i have never considered getting any kind of rebate on any of the many clubs organisations charities or any monthly or yearly subscription that i  pay into.I feel in these dark times there are many important questions that need addressing as to how we can help the vulnerable and elderly get through this time in our lives so to anyone who says different you need to take a long hard luck in the mirror and don't try to defend these people who are  more concerned about saving a few bob. i understand that there are financial burdens on us all and will be for years to come but get your priorities right on what you complain about..

During the last 3 weeks of lock down we’ve actually saved money. Haven’t driven the car for 3 weeks so no petrol bills, still paying insurance etc., haven’t used the van so no site fees etc., but still paying insurance, storage and club fees.  Not going to pubs, restaurants etc, so quids in at the moment.  I’m not looking for refunds, rebates, extensions etc.,  I want to come through this ok so I can enjoy my hobby so if my £13.50 helps the club survive then Bravo

Just today had my Email from Nick Lomas asking for continued subscription through these difficult times.

CAMC will have mine.

For anyone considering it. When I followed the link, it of course wanted name and membership number. We have a joint membership and they have different numbers. I emailed them and they replied that they only require one number  and it will apply to both.

Just had my mail as well.

It's as I said in my very first post at the top of pg1, the bills still need to be paid.

My £13.50 is safe in their hands👍🏻
