I keep looking at this section and notice how popular it obviously is ..... last post about 4 months ago. Time for deletion maybe & that will be a step towards tidying the rest of the forum up a bit

After recently joining the club I now feel discouraged and unwanted. I have in the past been a caravan owning member but having retired we have downsized to a folding camper, which I was assured by CC head office was very welcome on all sites the same as a caravan. It's a shame some members feel the need to look down on us and wish us to be removed from the club. Having said that the many people we have spoken to on various sites have been very friendly and welcoming.....obviously MM was not one of them.

You shouldn’t feel unwanted. TTS are very much part of the Club. My own take on the lack of posts on this thread is that Trailer Tenters get on with it, and don’t waste time and wind moaning about some of the trivia that requires so much hot air on the other threads on here.....😂

You can pitch up next to us anytime, and we would have a chinwag about how interesting your outfit is. Like we did one December at Durham Grange with one TTer in the snow! 👍

Thank you for all your positive and welcoming responses, i'm sure the trailer tent detractors are a small minority within the club. From the early 70's we have been tent campers, trailer tenters, touring carravaners, static caravaners, back to tents, then touring caravans again and now a  smart folding camper (trailer tent with a posh name). Along the way we have met and continue to meet happy, cheerful people and hope to carry on as long as we are capable.

It is probably a look of envy that a 1994 caravan is still alive and kicking, whereas some later vans have long since allen apart, wink same goes for your disco as they say "a land rover makes a mechanic out of all ownerssurprised

We were once the only caravan on Club Site on Exmoor....all the rest were trailer tents/ folding caravans all attending a rally.

We sold our trailer tent when we purchased our caravan frown  Still have a normal tent which we last used in Brecon in August.  Obviously any trips we take during the colder months will be in the caravan! wink
