Due to lockdown our annual site WiFi subscription has not be able to be used. I telephoned Air Angel the providers who kindly extended both mine and my wife’s annual subscription by three months. It was all done over the phone on 0333 240 7610. Hope that is helpful to other members in this situation.

Lets hope the wifi itself can improve.
I just use my phone as teather or my work 4G Router.

Only ever bought the wifi once - never again. Complete waste of money.  I use my phone and tether to my laptop or iPad.

I used to get on fine with it and had 3 or 4 consecutive annual passes. However, last year with sites full even off peak and a different demographic using them, it just could not cope and I did not renew, using my phone instead. They are supposedly updating a lot of the sites, although with the CC now actively promoting streaming / face time on those site, it remains to be seen how it will manage.

Untill last year we had annual Wifi via Air Angel but have not yet given it much thought for this year ,

It was fine when sites were not full , and it was used for as advertised and not for streaming/and face time as the club are promoting this year? unless ALL sites  are now  connected to fibre broadband then it will be the same problems as encountered  on some sites before with it being so slow a letter could almost get to the destination before an Emailsurprised

It also has the added advantage that anyone given the pass code can use it in the van.

Yep, been doing this for years. It's much more satisfactory.

I hadn't taken too much notice but if it will be possible to stream Netflix then I might use it although with a good 4G signal I have measured the download speed at 25Mbits and watched catchup TV using 4G.

I must admit that my first preference is to use 4G via my smartphone, often quite impressed with the speeds I get sometimes. Not used it for proper streaming but have used it for a bit of iPlayer and YouTube. The last time I purchased Club WiFi was when we were at Buxton where the phone signal is quite poor, better if you walk up the hill to reception. Whether it was sensible I went for the full year as I feel the short term value is way overpriced.
