Corona Virus Concerns

As the other (Stay or go) thread appears to be locked, I've started this one. There is no specific subject matter so hopefully everyone can continue to update others as to what's happening in their lives and areas. I live in the suburbs (but hope to move to rural Northumberland in next few years) and found it really illuminating to hear how those living in rural areas are being affected by issues such as tourists and lack of access to shops etc

One less CV19 concern for me, elder daughter has just received results of antibody test and it confirms she has them  and "low " chance of reinfection.

That’s some reassurance. Hope she stays safe.

Hi David, Nice to hear 'good' news for a change.

I am awaiting the results of a blood test, taken last Friday in relation to another issue, and was told that it will iclude a Covid 19 antibody test.

A strange situations when you are not sure if you want it to be negative or positive!

On balance I think poitive is better but then I will be wondering if my wife and grandson also have/had it.

Working in London for the NHS has seemed  risky but reassuring result. Thanks

If as is expected she now has a degree of personal & internal protection she will stay well. A modern day hero no different from the blue light services-when we walk away from contagion she is in a team that walks towards it👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. She has my & others complete respect & gratitude👍🏻

We have family members who have worked throughout the lockdown, ambulance, fire service, teachers, and others. It is worrying. Having to be so careful when they return home to loved ones. Some are helping other family members who are shielding as well, so there’s some top class coping rotas and communication going on. Lots of clothing changes and showering.

Some good home videos of teaching at home, little ones learning how to bake, whacky stuff others are doing to stay entertained. Mum is still a touch dodgy on the WhatsApp video calls, all I get is a view of her ear sometimes, with Sis yelling in background😂 We should be thankful for all technology though.

Did she ever think that she had had the coronavirus and if so when. I am sure it has been about a lot longer than what we think.

One of the people who when out with Rosa,  said a couple of months ago that their son cam home not feeling well  from China in Dec with what was then diagnosed as possibly bronchitis and was treated for that  ,but later it was thought it was a mild dose of coronavirusundecided

Steve

If you find "clown" is an offensive description of Johnson you should read what his one time boss Max Hastings has to say about him.

I don't usually comment on contentious issues - but if you find the word "clown" offensive, then don't click on this. Speakers on.

Personally, I love it.

You may call him a clown, but his act got him to where he wanted to be. i.e. Prime Minister. So who are the clowns?
