undecided Ferries more efficient ?? Do you know how many TONS they use as 'heavy oil' pumping out through the funnels ?? surprised.

And aircraft,'jets' blowing all that exhaust into the atmosphere !! To say nothing of 'dumping' excess prior to landing!!

I'm quite content to potter along in my motor home ,observing the various attributes of the surrounding countryside ,and stopping at the daily markets/coffee in the square ,or restaurant. Each to their own !!

I’m surprised the Club haven’t invested in more of the dry composting loos like they have at Crossways in Dorset. They have been in donkeys years.

I agree Merve shower in van .Lithium batteries ? to expensive for me . Also the metals used come out of the ground , destroying nature . Wind power . first generation of blades are now being taken down ,end of life .Made of fibreglass  , where are they going  ? LANDFILL ! Scotlands new ferries , dual fuel . Where does gas coming from , halfway round the world  .Ship docks down south , road transport to Scotland ! To my mind there is not a lot of joined up thinking . Derek

I agree with some of your comments about the Ferries in Scotland ,it is probably cheaper to get the gas from somewhere else than our own natural gas?,i would also suggest that the gas tanker that brings it to the uk will be loaded with enough for numerous other applications other than the Ferries,so it would also be cheaper to transport it to Scotland from where the ship docked than bring it direct ,unless it passed on its route, not sure about the road tanker far more eco friendly by train possibly

Is the gas not the same as we use for our homes?  I do not know.

However, Cal Mac did say they did not actually want these contentious dual fuel ships.

I don't heat awnings I heat the people in them. I think as long as there are people in them it is not a waste or inefficient.

If it is cold enough to require heating in your awning, why not just sit inside your presumably warm caravan?
