The C&CC are doing a special offer on some sites. A reduced fee on grass, no EHU pitches. Maybe people were taking advantage of that offer?

We certainly would have done were it not for travelling in the USA.

The C&MC also do reduced rates for non EHU economy pitches. Check them out, £1.50 a night + per person rates.

Depending on season that could save you £8.00 a night.

Yes, we have taken advantage of that kind of pitch when on our way to the Tunnel crossing and stay at Alderstead Heath. There are not that many across the network though.

On C&CC sites we can invariably choose non EHU pitches if we so wish. The offer to which I made reference was for a further discount for members for a limited period.

We've used the C&CC grass only pitches & been very happy with them.

Have to say we much prefer a grass pitch. Much nicer to step out onto than gravel or tarmac.

Thats why we rarely use CCC sites, how boring and lifeless that site looks.

Bit of a sweeping statement when you don't even know where it is and only a section of the site is shown. Actually I find the variation of outfits on a CCC site makes it far more interesting on a CCC site than on CMC sites.

Price may well influence choice but it shows many are not that bothered about using grass.
