Adobe Flash Player - End of Life

After many months of asking (via Customer services) for the IT department to address the 'Adobe Flash Player End of Life' ....in order that members can remove/amend their profile picture....and not one reply received.....I have today made a final request via the 'live chat'.

The agent says she will forward (again) my request to the relevant management team....and In response I have given a weeks grace before I send a note to the DG..   I will keep you informed.

FYI (if not aware)...It is now over a year since Adobe first gave notice that Adobe Flash Player will no longer be supported (EoL) after 31 December 2020...

Ah, that might be the answer. Ours is an old Mac Book. Good luck with it, given how popular IPads are, it’s a shame such things cannot be done on them. Not sure if that’s an Apple or a Club issue.

I think it’s an Apple issue, in that the iPad iOS has never supported flash. At least not in the eight years I have been using one.

Mine is beginning to take on a Dorian Gray quality, being about twelve years old now. Anyone hoping that this issue will be resolved has greater confidence in CAMC IT than I have.

Up until about mid December I was able to change my avatar easily from a Windows machine provided at each try I download a fresh Flash.  Can't seem to do anything now.

Ditto....And the response (or not) from management teams via customer services...is totally unacceptable for an organisation such as the CaMC.  Using 'working from home' is not a valid argument ...I am in my 15th year of retirement and I used to work remotely then most days of the week...twice a week aboard the Master Cutler (I really do miss the breakfast) en route to London, hotels, and at home. Conference calls were regular between our distance offices..

Edit..Remote working (Access via internet) aboard the Master Cutler was only possible in the last couple of my working years...but even then I could respond to emails during the 2hr 10min journey..

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry for the issues you've all experienced with this. There should hopefully be a fix implemented by the end of next week but I'm waiting for confirmation. I will keep you all updated.

Well...as expected there has been no reply to neither my email to customer services or directly to Live Chat.... except for Rowena's post...which has also failed to get a response...

My next port of call is the DG...given that I cannot find anyone else accountable. (if anyone knows of a director who is responsible for IT matters, please let me know)...

As the DG is a fellow Yorkshireman, used to live down't road..I shall pen the email in true Yorkshire dialect. I appreciate he has decamped to  the South...but he should get the gist...

Just discovered that you cannot email the DG directly (unless someone knows otherwise)..so I will have to send via customer services...will he receive it ?..

I always use this site for any CEO's address, a very useful tool for when I wish to complain. It has come in useful with lots of companies! laughing

Another ploy is to use snail mail addressed "Strictly Personal & Confidential" sent by recorded delivery. I've used that tactic in the past successfully.

Good idea but email is quick and easy. If you check my link above the required email address is there. (CC)
