Three nights for the three Lancashire peaks

A pretty enclosed paddock with pet chickens, ducks and a donkey to amuse in adjacent filed. Wide open views and a nice walk to Easington Fell - Lancashire's second top visible from the CL. Pendle also visible in distance, and Longridge Fell out of sight, but both a shortish drive to commence a walk up the premier and third of Lancashire's tops. No noise from traffic or light pollution to the massive night sky yet shops not far at all by car. Forest of Bowland and the Queen's own lands - the Duchy of Lancaster - over the hill provide jaw dropping scenery and good value places to eat and drink. All in all a very handy and pleasant base.

Great Location to Wind Down

This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the pleasant surrounding areas. Within easy reach is the Trough of Bowland, and Pendle Hill, and 3 miles away the delightful village of Slaidburn, where you can walk by the river and then enjoy a meal or a coffe at the small cafe by the village green. Downham is also within easy reach, the ice-cream is to die for, again best enjoyed by the beautiful stream. The site itself is in a very quiet setting with wonderful views of the countryside. We have always been made very welcome there.

Great location

A great countryside location, near to some lovely villages.  Slaidburn only 3 miles away. The approach is along very narrow lanes but there are plenty of passing places. The site is as advertised very basic but i found it to be a great location and a great view from the caravan. The farm has 3 dogs who noisily greet you but once they have checked you out will go back to the farm and I found the farmer called them back.
