Good little secluded value for money CL

3 night spent here and had great time. Tucked away and surrounded by woods with really easy to access Cromer and the great Anglian train service along Norfolk coast or to Norwich - easy walk in or get bus (CH2) from the end of the road. Facilities not the best (toilet emptying) but do the job needed - could be better signage/map as was unable to find at first and had to wait for somebody to come back to there caravan, to find, but no real hassle. Pitches all grass, but ones allocated to motorhomes (labelled motorhomes only) have grids embedded giving some reassurance. Slightly sloping but didn’t use levellers but some may wish to. Owner didn’t really bother us, we just paid and had a chat, but great selection of eggs from their chickens/ducks/geese, available from front of the house. We will use again, to access Cromer and Sheringham

Enjoyed out staym

We wanted to stay near Cromer so we could visit Cromer itself and some of the surrounding places, and we found just the site... The site is run by Matt and he could not have looked after us better. Unfortunately the Easter long weekend was preceded by, what Matt described as weeks of constant rain. He had telephoned us to warn us that there was a chance we may not get on due to the ground being waterlogged. We said that we would go and chance it that it would dry out a little before we got there. Well, it had although it was still soft going, but Mat provided some boards to park on and we managed to get parked up for the 3 nights. Lovely quiet, tranquil setting and easy walking and/or cycling access to Cromer and Overstrand, we did both and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. We have said it would be nice to go back when the weather is a little drier!! We were looked after extremely well and would recommend this site. Available Facilities: EHU Water Chemical toilet disposal Rubbish/recycling Grass pitches

A lovely tranquil find

Lovely, friendly couple only too happy to help and also provide eggs of all shapes and sizes! A really pretty CL set on the cusp of Cromer but also benefitting from the woods and countryside beyond. All we could hear was bird song and tranquility. Easy walking to the coast and the town itself and lots of lovely eateries should you wish to partake. We will be back to explore further.

Little Gem

Great site, very helpful owner. Ideally situated for walking into Cromer and along the coast. Sloping pitches, but owner very accommodating to get us set up. In short just a great site.

A little peace of heaven

This site is my safe place, our hide away and home from home. We stumbled across this idyllic site in 2013, we had a tiny 2 berth and now have an 8ft wide 26ft long twin axle with a huge 4x4. We can challenge an artic in length yet we still fit! We have pitched in nearly every position around both fields and never had an issue getting level. Even now with my mobility issues I have no issues here. Matt and Kate have always been extremely helpful and welcoming, the family are so friendly. They have always taken time with our daughter when she came along, shown her the chickens and where the eggs hide. The dogs over the years have been inquisitive, they like to play with our dog and have always been so good with our daughter (she's only 5yrs). Through covid we have been booked in where rules have allowed. With the spacing here it is safe and a local escape, there are lovely walks from the site. Equally it is lovely enough to sit and watch the wildlife and not go anywhere. Site maintenance has to happen, but Matt is kind enough to ask what time our daughter goes to bed to see if it was OK if he could get some strumming done as it had been too wet to get the grass cut before we arrived for bank holiday weekend. We have got stuck in exceptionally wet weather in winter at the very bottom of the field and Matt very kindly pulled us out. It's been soo wet over new year and so stormy that we had to leave the caravan. When it dried out Matt moved the caravan away from the trees so we could come and collect it. We use the site all year round, never had any issues. The odd chicken has escaped, laid fresh eggs in the awning. One got chased by another caravanners dog into our caravan, my husband got a shock to see me walk out holding a chicken! The dog wasn't impressed when the chicken tried to play with his frisbee or drink his water but he just sat there watching it! This is our favourite CL, we really couldn't ask for more friendly hosts. Keep up the good work, you do an amazing job we love our trips here!!

Fantastic site

A really idyllic, quiet, slightly sloping grass site surrounded by trees and wildlife. Saw deer and lots of birds. Lovely walk along the lane then through the woods to the coast path in to Cromer. Fantastic base to explore the north Norfolk coastline. Friendly owners with equally friendly dogs, had a great weeks stay here and will definitely be back.

Lovely settings

What a lovely and quiet site. Excellent for walking and cycling to many villages. In walking distance of Cromer and Overstrand. Will definitely be repeating our visit here.

Lovely, welcoming site, well positioned for Cromer and Overstrand

Lovely stay at this site. In walking distance of both Cromer and Overstrand. Peaceful and extremely sheltered setting despite the Norfolk elements on the windy weekend we stayed. Our first visit to a CL site and we would definitely recommend. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.

Lovely site

Firstly, no goose poo! no wild geese seen during our stay, there are geese but these are with chickens in a fenced area. I make a note of this as a previous review nearly put me off booking. The site is very well maintained and peaceful, the water and bins are in an area near the entrance and the cassette dump near the bottom of the site along the track. There was no one around when we arrived, but there are notes on the pitch numbers which state if its a motorhome or caravan pitch so we set up and paid after tea time at the front of the house where there are signs for the sale of eggs and logs, a pitch is now £7 a night. Nice walk into Cromer, immediately after the country club on the main road, there is a sign for Links Wood, follow this footpath and it brings you onto the cliffs and a well walked route to the promenade or follow the streets into the town centre, both routes take around 30 minutes to Cromer Pier. On one day we walked to Sheringham, this took two and a half hours along the cliff paths, we got the train back - £3.50 single. I discovered when I googled Sheringham rail station on google maps, the train times came up, which was very helpful. There is also bus which departs outside the heritage railway which is near the modern station in the centre of the Sheringham. Can really recommend this lovely site.
