Excellent CL

We have just spent 14 nights at Antonia Villa. Excellent CL very peaceful. Grass kept nice and short. We are not dog owners but the owners Dogs no problem just came to say hello. Matt the owner very nice and keeps the site clean and tidy. Many places to visit and Cromer just a short walk away. Well worth a visit with nice pitches and plenty of space. Well done Matt keep up the good work. Karen & Nick

Mixed

We found the site easy to find but trying to find someone to tell us where to pitch was a different matter. 3 barking dogs came bounding towards us out of the house when we knocked on the door though they were friendly. My husband looked through a window to see a yound woman watching TV and seemed to be ignoring us though she did then come out in the end. She said we could go anywhere except the bottom field as that was for motorhomes so we pitched at the first on the right only to be told by a young man later we should have pitched elsewhere as it was a motorhome spot but ok as we are only here a week. Yes it does slope but after a lot of shifting around we got sorted. Where you empty the toilet cassette could be better as it does smell. Now the gueese. We are country folk and have been all our lives but picking up goose poo before we could put our ground sheet down and awning up was not what we expected. Not sure what another reviewer meant about not seeing any as it was everywhere and it was brought in your caravan several times. There were 15 geese following each other so you can guess what the grass looked like. Several times a day they tried to get into our awning and another guest was so fed up he was going to complain about them. Eating outside was a no no as they kept coming towards us. Another couple said they've been coming here for years but never seen geese before and the lady was frightened of them. We won't be back again until they put the geese elsewhere. The site gets very dark and cold around 6 as the sun goes behind the very tall trees so there is no evening sun to sit out in. Just another point. Although the fields are kept mowed and hedges tidy, the entrance looks like a hill billies yard due to the over grown grass and heaps of lugs/tree trunks, bricks and other stuff. The man who was going to complain about the geese said if he had anywhere else to go he would leave but everyone else is full up. Another lady said she asked the elder man who lives here are the dogs ok to which he bent forward to the dogs and asked them if they were ok!! The only saving grace besides the quiet and location was it was only £10 a night.

A very quiet and peaceful CL

Arrived after very wet weather but grass site OK with care. Some have criticised the access but the entrance has been widened and our 7.9m twin axle was manageable entering from the Cromer direction. We departed in the other direction with no difficulty. Most of the available pitches are sloping - some near the limits of levelling for a long outfit - but the effort of levelling is amply rewarded by the peace and quiet with ducks, geese and the owners lovely dogs freely wandering the site. Cromer is well within walking distance and the coastal path and local woodland should satisfy walkers. The grey water disposal is a bit smelly since it goes directly into the cesspit through the manhole cover which has to be lifted and an arrangement designed for purpose would be better. Apart from that, we had no criticism of the facilities and commend this little gem to others seeking a peaceful quiet site close to Cromer.

Hidden beauty

Arrived on a weekend and found the site with ease. All pitches are well spread out and sloping. The surroundings are stunning, wooded enclave and peaceful, away from the main road and clean and tidy. A few chickens to see but not noisy and didn't wake me up at all. Free roaming geese but ate not troublesome and no fouling seen at all. Well done to the site owner and family for a very pleasant weekend we will see you soon.

Ideal location set in woodland

Stayed here for 2 weeks in June with our caravan and 2 dogs. The site entrance is easily missed and is a single track for about 30 metres but no major problems with our 7.2 metre caravan. The site is basically 2 lawned sites split through the middle by a high hedge, so there is plenty of room. The sites are sloping with the top sections speciifically for campervans. On our arrival we were met by a very helpful young man who made sure we were happy with our pitch and he was always available throughout our stay for help and advice. Despite some heavy rain the site was well drained and all waste and water facilities are within easy reach and the wildlife and birds are a delight. Cromer town centre is within easy walking distance as well as the coastal paths. This is an excellent site and highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.

We love this site!!

This is one of our favourite sites and we have visited every summer for 10 years! It is a quiet, safe site close to Cromer town and other places of interest (two National Trust properties nearby, Thursford, lovely beaches along the North Norfolk coast....)The owners are friendly and welcoming and we love the peace and tranquility this site offers us.

Ideal for motor homes

This is a spacious site with two separate areas to choose your pitch. There are two pitches which are more level than the others and are set aside for motor homes. While we were staying there were two other motor homes and two caravans. The grassed area was well kept and the water, waste and recycling were all handy. The site access could be tricky from the Cromer direction for larger units but we had no problem with our 6.5m unit. The site is close enough to Cromer town centre to walk or cycle. There are also numerous walking trails close to the site including the North Norfolk Trail and Peddlars Way. We cycled to Overstrand, Sheringham and into Cromer several times. We also took the motor home out for the day to Weybourne and the Muckleburgh Military Collection. A good, reasonably priced quiet site.

New Year stay

Have stayed here many times - really pretty and quiet. Fresh eggs on the doorstep - or, if you're lucky, in your awning which was a bit of a surprise when we found a chicken thought we were a hen coop! Stayed over last New Year when it was somewhat inclement weather. Had a lovely stay, as usual, but when it came to getting off site, we were well and truly stuck. The site owners couldn't have been more helpful. Using their tow car and a length of rope, they soon had us on our way. We'll be back - and hopefully so will the sunshine.

Our peaceful escape

This is an excellent hideaway on the coast. Family run, extremely friendly and so helpful. We have been coming a few times a year for several years and plan to keep coming in the future. We have been unfortunate enough to get stuck in field due to exceptionally poor weather but we cannot praise the owners enough for helping get us out. Even with length of our outfit 13.5m we don't have a problem getting into the site as we turn left into the site and take it slow. We find the chickens funny - they like the dogs Frisbee much to his distress!! Great walks to cromer and Overstrand meaning you can really chill out! A fantastic and thoroughly accommodating friendly site.

Very pleasant stay

Just spent 6 nights at this lovely site. very well kept with friendly helpful owners who are there if you need them. Expect the odd chicken wandering around adding to its rural feel. Easy walk through woodland to beach and Cromer centre. Will definately book here again. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
