5 Star Site

Such a fantastic CL site. Very spacious, extremely peaceful picturesque setting with a small tea room a few hundred yards away. This really is a little gem. The owners are lovely and welcoming and the site is immaculately kept (all grass no hard standing). My parents stayed here a long time ago ( still owned by the same family) we will definitely be returning!! Thank you.

A beautiful site !

This is a beautifully kept site in an amazing area with so much to do locally . Very peaceful with only the occasional toot from a steam engine in the distance. Lots of walking and cycling available from the site. Good pubs a short drive away. Simon & Carol made us very welcome. The site is well laid out with all facilities separated and clearly marked. Thank you we will be back !

Peaceful site

Very well kept site in a quiet location. We had a great time here with our dogs. There is plenty to see & do in the local area and a fabulous tea shop within walking distance. The grass is kept very short & the pitches are spacious. An excellent CL, we will be back.

One of the best kept CL’s in a lovely location with good access

An immaculately maintained CL in a tranquil location. Good walks from the site, ideal for access to the moors and coast and a great tea room a 5 minute stroll from your outfit. What more could you want?

Lovely peaceful site

In August 2021 we had a great week at this excellently maintained caravan site, set in a very peaceful location, in a friendly pretty village in the wonderful North Yorkshire Moors. There are some nice country walks directly from the site. No shops in the village but it is just a short drive to Pickering. We would definitely visit the site again.

Super CL

We try to visit Yorkshire annually but this year left it rather late to book the CL near Pickering that we normally use and found they had no vacancies. We’d stumbled across Ashfield Caravan Site while visiting Lockton & Levisham a few years ago so decided to give it a try, so glad we did. The welcome was warm (as was the weather) and the site is a credit to Simon & Carol. If you’re looking for a base to explore this area of Yorkshire, look no further. We will return

Quiet site, good for exploring local area.

As the title says, a good site for exploring the local area, and there is much to see. Our owners take us on to some of the lovely local walks and we are lucky enough to get out every day. We even went on the steam train. The site is at the end of the village road so it is very quiet, the only sounds to be heard a night are the local owls. Hopefully we will get brought here again. Arri and Anna, two very happy dogs.

Peaceful

Beautiful village of Lockton, owner very welcoming, was given a choice of pitch and full instructions on where things were and how things worked on site. He was also very helpful with what is around locally. Good size pitches, dogs are welcomed, kept on a lead. Excellent base for the Moors, Thornton Le Dale, Helmsley, Pickering and the steam train to Whitby. Had an excellent meal at the pub in Levisham, preferred this pub to the Rabbit and Fox, although owned by the same people. Cream tea in the tea room at Lockton we also highly recommend, very friendly people, cakes outstanding. Thank you for a beautiful, peaceful stay.
