Lisa had assured us that she would warn us before we left home about the river level, so off we went. In the meantime, it poured with rain - yet again! We were offered a nice hard standing adjacent to a lovely lake- aka the CL site! John donned wellies and plugged us in, and by morning the lake had practically gone. But we stayed on our safe hard standing. Lovely walk into village. Pub open under new ownership. Sadly, we never got to sample their menu as midway through our ten day stay, and after a torrential nights rain, Lisa gave us the option of staying put or moving onto another site near Pershore on higher ground. Bless her, it must be a nightmare turning happy campers away. I don’t think river burst its banks, but it looked very full and fast, and I’d never have slept a wink worrying about it, so we moved on. So an eventful 5 days with Lisa and John. We visited Witley Court and Gardens (EH) near Worcester, well worth a visit - and the sun came out. Pershore itself is well worth a visit as is the Almonry Museum in Evesham (closing for renovations sept/Oct 2024 onwards). And I must thank John for mending our badly leaking kitchen sink tap - what a star! There was enough water around without us adding to it.
lovely site
We were met by Lisa`s son who showed us to our hardstanding. When Lisa arrived she gave us the information and said she had tried to phone to warn me of the river level which was quite high but assured me we would be ok. I was on edge all night, but need not have worried. I did think of moving from the site but Lisa again reassured we would be ok. She was correct the level started to lower and we had lovely break. The site is close to Pershore we public transport is good to get around the area we will return here again in the summer as it is so peaceful

A Super Site !
We decided to take a chance on the clear blue sky weather and take a break for 3 nights! Not having been to the area before it looked interesting, with flat walking in either direction along the River Avon to either Pershore or Fladbury. As others have said the CL was brilliant and we were placed on a hard standing, as the grass area was still boggy. John had rigged up our own private water hose which along with the EHU and grey water drainage, was all we needed! John and Lisa gave us a welcome/information pack on Pershore Town and the surrounding area. We had a much needed relaxing break..... thank you John and Lisa. Please, please, please ignore the first impressions of the boat yard at the entrance of the drive to the CL.... it is just a means of access.

Lovely stay
Just back from a week at Avon bank.
Well 6 days as it turned out, due to monsoon weather. There was the risk of flooding, so Lisa said that they were closing the site.
Had a few inches of water around the caravan by the time I left with rapidly rising Brook and the river.
Lisa was excellent and went the extra mile, even in as far as to check I was ok as not seen me one day, (had been walking with the dog when she checked) very helpful and no hesitation in recommending the site.
May be could do with the camc sign at the boat yard entrance and not in the hedgerow the other side of the lane.
Walking into Pershore across mown fields is a 15/20 minute level walk from site.

Awesome Avonbank
Just back from an awesome 5 day break at Avonbank. 🌞 shining, peace and tranquillity by the riverside. We were sited on the hard standing next to the river attached to the rally field. There was a small rally on whilst we were there, which we weren't aware of until we got there but they were no bother. The CL could do with a sign on the approach at the entrance to the boatyard. We spent every day walking around the local area. We walked one way into Wyre Piddle where you can follow many footpaths along the river and walked the other way into Pershore along the river. Pershore is a lovely market town with a great selection of independent shops and small indoor market, we picked up some yummy local food. We did the Bridges walk around Pershore and also walked to Wick and did the History Trail - lots of old interesting buildings.

A hidden Gem
We've just returned from a very relaxing 7 night stay at this fab, friendly and very welcoming CL site.
The owners Lisa and Handyman aka John đź¤, keep the site absolutely spotless and immaculate! They are so welcoming and very helpful, and extremely knowledgable of the whole area. Both their teenage sons, are friendly and a credit to their parents.
The site is very easy to find, the pitches are very generous, with fresh water and grey water waste on each pitch, free WiFi. Everything is thought about as although the chemical empting is a little walk away, a sack truck is on hand to wheel it around there with easeÂ
In the corner of the site, here's a gate with a coded padlock giving you easy access to the lane.
As owners of 3 Collies, we were spoilt for choice, if you went through the gate and turned right, there is Smiths field, a great place to let them run and also a safe route to the village and pub, the AnchorÂ
If you turn left, and a 20ish minute stroll, or twice as long if you have dogs haha, along the river to Pershore, a lovely little market town, which is extremely friendly both to humans and dogs.
There are benches along the river and a nice safe spot, where if you have dogs, can have a safe dip or you can just sit and take in the scenery and nature.
There are plenty of places to have food, as well as local independent shops. The Abbey is also beautiful.
Although we didn't venture far from site, this time, the site is well placed to visit areas such as the cotswolds, Worcestershire, Evesham to name a few.
We've already rebooked to return and can't wait to visit again and already have a list to explore the area further.Â
I don’t want to share his wonderful this site.
We telephoned whilst on the motorway looking for a quick stopover. So glad there was a pitch avail. We haven’t really spent any time in this area and had only reviews to judge, so glad we took the chance. What a great site in a beautiful location. Disappointed we were only there for 1 night but we now can’t wait to go back and see more of the area. Lisa (host) was super friendly and couldn’t do for us. Fabulous site 👏👏
All the ingredients for a lazy or active break!!
Beautiful tranquil site on the edge of Pershore, a few minutes walk from 'The Anchor' at Wyre Piddle, a lovely pub with gardens overlooking the river Avon.
The owner / Managers 'Lisa and John' keep the site absolutely immaculate!
They are so welcoming and helpful, and give you a pack of tourist information.
A twenty minute walk takes you into Pershore where there are plenty of good pubs and places to eat.
There are many cycle routes and public footpaths.
Serviced pitches with hook up, water and waste.
Please note own facilities needed for showers and toilet.
Lovely place to visit
Lisa and John are so very helpful and cheerful even in the face of adversity! Continuous rain caused the field to flood whilst we were there but they were both on hand to assist with a tow rope and a ladder to inspect and fix a coincidental roof leak. Such a lovely place to go, such a warm welcome, we will return.
