We recently stayed for 2 nights at the start of our 6 week tour of the UK . We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and was made to feel comfortable straight away . This was our first experience of staying in a CL and we were very impressed, so hopefully this will be the start of many more to come . As previous reviews have stated, this is a beautiful site being well maintained in peaceful surroundings. So all in all a fantastic start to our holiday .
Perfect!
Peaceful, lovely shrubs and flowers to enjoy, neatly mown grass and good dog walks. Everything you could wish for on a holiday - even the sun was shining.
Barrier Reef fish and chip shop served the best we've had, The Lincolnshire Poacher was good for evening meal (booking necessary) and Huttoft beach is worth the trip.
Looking forward to a return trip next year, Isla's hoping Hilda will remember her...
Lovely Site
We recently stayed at Barff Farm Fenside for four nights. Michelle and Gary were welcoming and very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site is down a long drive but don’t let this put you off, it is well worth it! The well maintained grass meadow is flat in lovely surroundings with attractive gardens, scrubs, trees and banks of beautiful flowers. If you enjoy peace and quiet in the open country, dog friendly, this is the site for you.

Outstanding Tranquility
First stayed here whilst moving daughter into new house, and found this beautiful quiet location, which was perfect to return to after a hectic day.
Just the perfect location and even our Labrador didn’t want to leave.
Will certainly be visiting again in the future
the little gem site
hi we are just back from ,a little gem of a touring site ,o my god its like coming out of your van into your own back garden ,gary and michelle very friendly and always there if you need anything ,i can,t fault this little beauty of a site we will be back its just tranquil love it
A hidden gem in Lincolnshire!
Just back from long weekend at Barff Farm, what a gem of a site! Beautifully maintained grass field , with a brook running through it with a bridge and landscaped like it is your own big back garden. Met by Michelle and told about the area and allowed to park anywhere and we were there with another unit.
Large quantity of dog walks straight from the site, too many to explore even on a three day weekend! Hence we have rebooked as many other reviewers do.
the peace and tranquility is amazing and we didnt see another person on any of our walks, plenty of wildlife deer, hares, rabbits and swans on the two nearby reservoirs. Site is accessed easy even for twin axles and the road down to the farm is well maintained.
The toilet and hand washing facilities are really good with some information in the shed as well as a a visitor guest book to leave their thoughts - really good reviews in their as their is on this site as well.
If you want peace tranquility and very nice owners then this site is for you, there is the option of hard standing if there has been rain or the grass meadow which as you can see by the site picture easily fits the 5 maximum units on. Not like some where you end up looking into someones front lounge as the spaces are too close !
Cannot recommend this site enough if you want peace tranquility and to relax and to unwind with just the sounds of nature as Company.
If Calsberg owned Caravan Sites this may probably be the "best site in Lincolnshire at least!
we encourage you to try out Barff Farm, you wont be disappointed - very dog friendly and numerous walks from the site - and some amazing sunsets!
We look forward to returning, and have already booked one return, with more planned. Keep up the good work Michelle and Gary - you have a vey impressive CL site definitely one to be proud of.
Beautiful and relaxing little gem
Just back today from 4 days at Barff Farm. Michelle and Gary very friendly. As other reviews very quiet (only us plus another unit for our visit) rural site with lovely views. Lucky we had 3 days of decent weather to enjoy. Great dog walks, several options directly from the site again nice a quiet which is great. Very clean a character hut with a toilet and wash basin. We will return :)
Beautiful secluded site with a very warm welcome
Barff Farm Fenside provided an excellent place to stay - a peaceful haven which felt miles from anywhere although it was only a gentle stroll away from the vibrant village of Metheringham, which has plenty of places to eat and drink. The site is beautifully kept, with well drained level pitches and joy of joys a toilet/washroom with a very comfortable chair and a selection of books - I could have stayed in there for hours!!
The site is also about 20 minutes from the atmospheric city of Lincoln with its many attractions, and from Woodhall Spa in the opposite direction with its magnificent golf course.
Michelle could not have been a more welcoming host and offered some useful advice about what to do in the vicinity.
I visited Barff Farm in October and will have fond memories of the autumn colours, wildlife including deer, hares and owls, and huge skies with great sunsets and an array of stars with little light pollution - and I look forward to another visit!

Peaceful
This site is very clean. Electric, water , waste and Elson point. 40 minutes walk to Metheringham village for shops pubs and cafés. The owners are lovely but not intrusive. Dogs welcome. We will be back
A site not to be missed
A quiet and beautifully kept CL. Only downside is the long, dusty, rough approach but on arriving at the site the grass is neatly mown and the welcome warm. You are close to Lincoln and a visit here is a must to see the cathedral and mediaeval old town. Parking at the top of the hill, near the cathedral is limited but for blue badge holders you are allowed twice the time paid for. I only spent 2 nights here but hope to return to explore Lincoln further. Thank you Michelle and Gary for making us feel so comfortable.
