Excellent in every way

The standards achieved on this sight are second to none. Visited the sight for 4 nights from 27/10 to 31/10. Owners very welcoming and on hand if needed. Showers and toilets excellent, room with tourist information superb. The site also has a few chickens and a lovely pony contained in their own area. Plenty of space. Cannot speak highly enough about this site. Well done to the owners. Will definitely go back for longer. Positioned well for visiting the Norfolk area. Can even have your morning paper delivered for just 10 pence.

First Class as always

This was our second time visiting Barleywood, and we must report it remains our favourite CL in the country. Pitches flat, 16amps of power and water at each pitch. Excellent facilities that are very modern and clean. A tuck shop, dog boarding facilities and great walks locally. Brancaster is 20 minutes away and wells a little over half an hour. A first rate, first class CL. We shall return.

Wonderful peaceful site

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Barleywood. It is our 1st visit and most definitely won't be our last. It was so peaceful, large grass pitches with elec and water direct to our van. There are 2 shower cubicles which were spotless, a cabin with washing machine, tumble dryer and a fridge and freezer with milk, bread and cakes etc to purchase. Also in that room were leaflets with ideas for going out and about. The weather was lovely so we made our way to Holkum beach on Saturday and Wells next the sea on Sunday. Tilly our Labrador loved the water and long bracing walks and there are plenty of other places to visit next time we stay there.

2016 visit

First trip of 2016 and it just had to be our favourite Barleywood.  Lovely welcome by David and Lorna.  Site was immaculate as usual.  David working on latest project to put a self shepherds hut next to the CL.  Despite all the wet weather the site drained pretty well.  Resident Barn Owl came to visit on a couple of occasions and sat not 10 yards from the van

Best Ever

Stayed here for a week in November 2015 and can honestly say it's the best CL that we have ever stayed on, no wonder they are booked so far in advance! Large field with closely cut grass, plenty of taps and electric hook ups. We were able to have all services connected. There is a summer house on site with freezers stocked with basics also chocolate and home made cake! There is also a microwave and dishwashing facilities, ideal for the small motorhome. Two heated washrooms each with toilet, shower and wash basin. Plenty of chickens around as well as the resident Shetland, Daisy. A lovely welcome from David and Lorna, the owners, who are both very friendly and helpful. All in all, just a great place to stay, my only complaint is that it is nearly 250 miles from home

Back to our favourite

Managed to get a 2 night stay at Barleywood, the first of our winter vanning programme! Met by David, seemed like we hadn't been away. New toilet/shower and info centre are excellent and up to the normal high standard. At £14/night you just can't get better. Managed to get some walking in and a quick visit to the Sculthorpe Community Nature Centre (please support them)

Bit Dissapionted

We stayed here last week, what a lovely site, large flat pitches, really good facilities, showers, liked the chickens running around. But was disappointed that on four of the seven nights we spent here there were six vans on site!! If this invalidates the owners insurance, then do site owners have the right to put us, their paying patrons at risk, I think Not

First Class CL

I was thinking...If I write that this site is the best in the country, then you will all want to go and I will never get in again...So its totally rubbish guys!......Well only joking of course. This site ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned. I would go so far as to say its the best adults only site in the country. All pitches are fully services are snooker table flat. The toilet and shower block is spotless. You have WI-FI, good TV signal and lots of 16amp power. They have an added information centre come shop which has frozen foods, ice creams and drinks on tap, together with a toaster and kettle. Free range chickens roam around the site and the views are fantastic. Wells and Brancaster are 10 to 15 minutes drive away. Good additional walks locally. Please try it but beware. We have had to book today, that's mid May to have any chance of reserving a pitch bt Easter next year. What a CL !!!!

Fantastic!!!

We stayed for 4 nights in Feb 2015 and had a fantastic time. Really warm welcome by David and very helpful though out our stay. Loads of room on all pitches and a very well kept site. Have booked again for October already. 5* CL site.

Yet Another....

Yet another great long weekend spent at the favourite Barleywood at South Creake. David and Lorna, were as ever welcoming. Work on the new facilities are coming on and would imagine they will be open in time for their busy year. Counted 32 different species of birds on the site over the weekend plus numerous flights of Geese and waders flying overhead. Couple of evenings we were serenaded by a couple of owls.
