What a brilliant CL site

. What can I say that others have not said. This is one CL in a million. Even the Elsen disposal unit is posh. Roger, Pauline and Shelly clearly had passion for this site when they created it. Well done to all the family including Shelley's husband. I did mention this to Shelley, although I must stress this is not a criticism. May the family perhaps consider allowing responsible dog owners to use the dog walk round the field ( Not the actual camp site)with dogs under control but off the lead. ? Impeccable

If Carlsberg did CLs they would probably have done this one! Enough said!

An exceptional site

My wife and I have just returned from a two week stay at Barn Owl Meadow. We selected this site after reading the earlier reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. We would endorse all of the comments from previous reviewers without any reservations. In over 40 years of caravanning, 30 of which as members of the Club, we have not come across any CL (or even Club site?) that has matched Barn Owl Meadow. We might even suggest that to simply classify this site as a CL perhaps does it a disservice. Well done Roger, Pauling and Shelly.

Five Star Site

Stayed in September and we can only reiterate what other reviewers have written. If only all C.L.’s were this good. Thank you Pauline and Roger and if you will have us we will return.

Fabulous Facilities

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this beautiful and tranquil site. it was our first experience of a CL site and it has set the benchmark very high for other sites to be compared to! We were given a warm welcome from Pauline and Roger who had obviously spent a lot of time thinking about what they wanted their site to offer. The pitches were of a really good size, flat and individually serviced. The amenity block was superb. Shelly (their daughter) kept the block clean and was available each morning for any queries. She also sold us some of her bacon, sausages and burgers which were absolutely delicious. If you are after a chance to recharge your batteries within a beautiful and tranquil setting then Barn Owl Meadow is the perfect place for you. We will definitely be returning.

Site of the year!

We have just spent 5 nights at this glorious site, We would rate it as the best C L we have ever visited! The facilities are better than the best, Immaculate, and would grace your own home. The owners Pauline and Roger could not be more helpful and friendly, along with their daughter 'Shells, keeps everything spick and span and can supply produce from her own rare breeds farm. there's not much more I can say about this wonderful site, the only way to experience the facility is to book a trip and be amazed! Astonishingly Good. The Best

This is without doubt the best CL we have ever stayed on. I don’t want to over egg this but the site is spotless. The pitches are brilliant. The bathrooms and shower facilities are really five star. We didn’t want to leave. The site is pretty and quiet with lots of bird song. The owners have worked really hard to complete the CL. They make you really welcome. We bought some home produced bacon from the shop on site. It was great quality. We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning a second visit. It’s a brilliant place!

Lovely lovely lovely

Smartest cl we've stayed at so far, it's only been open a few weeks and the owners have done a lovely job of covering everything and more that you would want from a cl. The showers are huge and exceptionally clean the pitches are very spacious and there's a good dog walk (much longer than you usually get). We were made to feel very welcome and have already booked a second stay with them. Too often pitches are described as hardstanding but can be a bit on the snug side especially if you put an awning up, the pitches here are very generous and this cl will be a good place to use in autumn/winter months.

Outstanding site

This is the best CL site we have stayed on. The owners Roger and Pauline are extremely friendly and accommodating. The site is in a quiet and tranquil spot and we enjoyed watching the hares running around the field. There is a walk especially for your dog around the meadow which is fenced so they can come to no harm. The pitches are large and there are picnic benches and parasols for your use. The bathrooms are as good as any hotel and as I was on crutches I used the accessibility shower room and toilet which was beautiful, modern, spotless and had added touches like music playing in the background. We bought some burgers and bacon for sale in the office from their daughter's smallholding and they were delicious. Roger and Pauline have obviously gone to a lot of trouble researching other sites to get good ideas. We will definitely be back soon.
