Roger and Pauline welcome you to their fantastic new purpose built CL caravan site on their small Suffolk farm, offering a unique caravan/motorhome experience. Within 3/4 acre of level grassland, enclosed by fencing, sit the superb pitches with attractive open field views, beautiful sunsets, unpolluted night sky and a maximum of five pitches being used at any one time. This really is the place for a peaceful tranquil get away.
All five hardstandings are identical and large enough for your caravan/motorhome, awning and car! Two large all grass pitch options are available by arrangement. All of the pitches are fully serviced.
The onsite facilities are outstanding, including a beautiful unique custom built 5 star amenity building, with under floor heating harnessing the very latest energy saving technology. There is an indvidual WC and a washing up room with two sinks and drainers. We have two large personal bathrooms each fitted with luxury shower, toilet, hand-basin, shaving point, hand and hair dryers. One bathroom is fully fitted for people with disabilities and is wheelchair accessible.
An information room for guests to find what's on offer locally includes a bookcase with books that guests can borrow for the duration of their stay. There are some perfect places to read one of these books, maybe take a stroll around our hedge-lined field, stopping half way at a bench conveniently placed. Sit in a little corner there to relax for a while, enjoying the tranquillity and birdsong. Perhaps take a book over to the natural pond and find a bench there, or maybe the picnic benches ... The building has an office, which doubles up as a small shop facility supplying basic essentials including fresh milk, bread and free range eggs from a local smallholding (run by our daughter Shelly). Additionally the small holding supplies very tasty free range rare breed sausages, bacon, burgers, pork as well as lamb and more, perfect for morning fry ups and evening BBQ's.
The site is dog friendly, with a lovely dog walk around our 15 acre meadow and the dogs even have their own dog wash area.
Barn Owl Meadow gets its name from the barn owls that are often seen flying over the meadow and shares its home with a wide range of Suffolk wildlife such as sky larks, partridge's, pheasants, deer, lots of hares, and an amazing woodpigeon with no tail, and winter time sheep in the field!
Barn Owl Meadow is on the Suffolk/Norfolk border with Diss (8 miles), Stowmarket 8 miles and the beautiful historic town of Bury St Edmunds, with its Cathedral, Abbey Gardens and market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, being well worth a visit 13 miles away. Within a 3 mile radius are four villages providing a useful mixture of pubs, cafes, post offices and village shops.
If you want a relaxing break, in lovely countryside surrounded by nature with mod cons at your door step then this is the place for you. For more information please visit our Website.

This site is fantastic, it has everything anyone could want. Immaculate 5 star toilets, showers and all general facilities such as Elsan point, dog wash area, recycling. The shower rooms are like a 5 star hotel, underfloor heating and piped music playing on entry makes the experience so pleasant. The 5 hard standing pitches are spacious with their own drinking water and grey water (fully serviced with 16 amp hook up). The walk around the meadow was very nice with a clear path that takes you around the sheep filled meadow and back into the campsite. General information was readily available from the camp site building giving details of local shop, takeaways and other attractions. Pauline came over to see us on a couple of occasions and was lovely. We highly recommend this site for anytime of the year. We will be back. Thanks for making our stay very pleasurable..
