The perfect pitch

We loved staying at Bee Edge CL. The views across the hills to the coast and see are marvellous. The location is lovely and quiet, and the pitches are spaced well with little hedges in between. There is plenty to do in the area - we came here to visit St Abbs Head, Berwick and Holy Island, which are all within easy reach. The owners were very welcoming, and explained everything to us before we arrived. Whilst we were unable to meet in person, they were on hand via email. Facilities are excellent - on pitch water and waste, an electric car charging point, low level lighting, a motor home waste point and all amenities clean and tidy. All for a very good nightly fee. We will definately be back in the future.

A Lovely peaceful site.

Stayed here for 5 nights, very happy with site, nice clean pitch which all were fully serviced. Lovely idea having a small dog exercise area on site, which our two elderly dogs enjoyed. Al came to introduce himself to us on the second day and asked if we were happy, any problems. The answer was no problems, would highly recommend this site.

Lovely winter stay

This is a really lovely and well maintained site. I think the small hedgerows between pitches add a little privacy and this will increase as they mature. The views out to sea are vast and there are good walks from the site and nearby. A very pleasant stay thank you.

A wonderful site

I spent 2 frosty, clear nights at Bee Edge on February 22 and 23. It was very peaceful (apart from the odd vehicle passing at the other side of the hedge) and the views were magnificent. I was particularly lucky that both nights were moonlit and to see the moonlight on the sea was magical. The entrance gate is a little tricky - there's knack to it - but access to the pitches is very straightforward. The pitches are well spaced and all share the same views towards the sea. The wifi was excellent, and site owner Al was friendly and welcoming and, as a solo traveller, I felt reassured that he was only a phone call away.

Excellent CL

We ve just returned from a four night stay at Bee Edge. All facilities were excellent and well maintained. The surrounding views were lovely and it was an easy walk down into Coldingham. We had a lovely meal in The New Inn and the locals were very hospitable. Al was very welcoming and made sure we were happy with everything. Will definitely be returning.

Great Coldingham Stay

The site is easily accessible and the views across the countryside towards the sea and Coldingham Bay are unbelievable. Everything you need is there and the place is an absolute joy!!! Highly recommended and we will be back. Also recommend the Butcher in Coldingham and Collin Fishmonger in Eyemouth Harbour.

Perfect Choice

We decided to go to Scotland for "Hogmanay" and so chose Bee Edge for several reasons - its reviews, the hard-standing pitches, its proximity to the local village of Coldingham with its two pubs and it was not too far into Scotland for a quick 4 night getaway. We booked and paid for our pitch (now £25pn) via the CL Booking App, and in return we received a confirmation email containing all the information required for a seamless arrival. No sooner had we arrived, we were visited by the owner who welcomed us, thanked us for booking and informed us of the NY Day swim down in the Bay. Unfortunately we forgot our swimming gear - but we did cycle down on NY Day to see the hardy souls braving the elements! The site itself benefits from serviced pitches with grey waste disposal. The CL also has a drive-over for motorhome grey waste - we didn't use it as we used our waste hose - but it is a definite bonus. The CL also benefits from lovely views over the North Sea, and over the 3 days we were there we were lucky enough to have great weather - particularly considering the weather the rest of the UK was experiencing - and so for the first 2 days we managed to get out on our bikes following the various cycle loops on the Eyemouth Local Cycling trails pamphlet. On our third day we followed the Coldingham Circular Footpath which starts not far from the entrance road to the CL. The walk itself was extremely challenging - muddy and very, very wet with standing/running water on some of the trail. Extreme care had to be taken crossing the stiles and bridges - which were all very slippery. Once back on terra firma we stayed on the road to walk back through the village and up the road to the CL. At Hogmanay we cycled down to the New Inn about 9pm - to find it practically empty and due to close at 10pm, so we had one drink and moved on. There was a Ceilidh in the village hall - entrance was via donation - but we chose not to attend as it looked like a BYO event (we were obviously empty handed), so we moved on to the Anchor Inn - to find to be a "cash only" pub. We had just over £15 between us - but that was more than enough - especially as last orders were called at 1045pm. We left not long after last orders were called, and saw the new year in back at our motorhome. One of the locals in the pub did offer to buy us a drink, we respectfully declined, and another actually lent us £20 - to be paid back the next day when the local shop was open enabling us to use the ATM. As it happened, we didn't break into the £20 and so left it behind the bar for the lady to collect the next day. The hospitality we received was second to none. On the whole a lovely CL in a beautiful part of the Scottish Borders.

Lovely peaceful New Year stay

This site has the most amazing views over the sea. Coldingham is a short walk away - I had to use the road because of recent wet weather but there is an off-road path over fields as well. All five pitches are in a row to make the most of the views and each has a water tap , drainage and electric. The pitches are large and gravelled -essential in the middle of winter. The Wi-Fi was good enough to stream -a rare bonus. The toilet emptying area was clean and easy to use and the bins were tidy with a small “info” centre beside them. There is a small enclosed dog run area and woodland walks just up the road. Al, the owner, popped by to check all was ok and was easily available by text. Will definitely be back.

Peaceful and tranquil

This a lovely site with only 5 pitches set on a working farm. Easy access off the A1. Beautiful views of the sea from each pitch. The pitches all have EHU, water tap and grey water disposal. There is a chemical disposal point and recycling. Al the farmer was very welcoming and helpful with any queries you have. I loved my time here and enjoyed the walk into Coldingham and to the bay. From the bay you can walk to St abbs, which is a very pretty harbour village. If its peace and quiet you are looking for, then this site is ideal. I will definitely be back. The surrounding area was beautiful. Ideal for the nature trails. My dog loved his stay here too. Thank you for allowing this facility on your lovely farm.
