Beware motorhome may get stuck in the mud!

This is in a beautiful part of the country with the most amazing views!  We woke up to three deer in the next field.  Unfortunately there is really only one hardstanding though, which had gone by the time we arrived.  We were promised half hardstanding but this was only a very small strip of shingle and we got very stuck in mud and had to ask the farmer to kindly pull us out with his Land Rover.  He was not too pleased.

A lovely CL

We have just returned from 3 relaxing nights on this spacious CL and would certainly return.  Beautiful views, lovely walks, many places to visit - we visited Winchester and used the park and ride - so easy with our campervan and excellent value.  The grass is kept short and there are some hardstanding areas, which we needed as it was very wet when we visited. The lane next to the site is quite busy but didn't disturb us, we found the site very peaceful. There is lots of bird life and we particularly enjoyed the buzzard that landed in the adjoining field each morning and wandered around looking for worms and insects for breakfast - amazing! Mr Hall was very helpful and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

Stunning views

We just had two nights here as we had a function in Romsey on the Saturday night. Beautiful location with cracking views and very friendly cows in the neighbouring field! The owners were away for the weekend but I found someone to pay just before we left! We know the area anyway as used to live in Southampton but you'd never know how close you are as this site is so peaceful. Definitely one of the best we've stayed on so far

Delightful CL

This grassed CL, slightly sloping, is located behind farm buildings with wide views of fields, and woodland beyond.  Peter looks after his grass very well, and if the ground is soft from rain then there are pitches at each end of the barn where the ground is firm.  If using these, however, care is required when towing through the farm buildings as there is a tight turn if heading to the end where the woodshed is located.  Take care and it isn't a problem. There are some shops about half a mile away, including a well-stocked Co-Op.  Calor Gas is also available at a local garage, not far from the shops.  Further afield is the delightful town of Romsey, the City of Southampton, Winchester, Salisbury and so on, and of course the Isle of Wight. This is a very peaceful and spacious CL, and well worth a visit.

Easter weekend 2014

We've just got back from a lovely Easter Weekend at Body Farm.  It's a beautiful site that is maintained well by the owners. There's plenty a of space and the views are stunning. Access to the site is easy and the location is within 5mins from the M3 all on main roads.  We went as a party of two families, both with young children and there was plenty of space for them to run around and play without getting in the way of the other caravans.  There is a walk straight from the field, which I was told by another camper was a great walk. (We ran out of time to explore this) Easy asses to Southampton, Portmouth and other local areas.  Even though close ish to the road, a very peaceful site.  I will be booking this site for later in the year. :)

Lovely CL

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July with two small children before going on to the Isle of Wight. The Site is very well kept, room for five outfits and still plenty of room for the boys to kick a football about. Only downside is that the pitches are gently sloped-as new caravanners we are not very good at levelling ourselves yet! Only 20-30 mins away from the port of Southampton, close to Paultons park/Peppa pig world. Lovely views across fields, very peaceful surroundings. Would definitely stay again.
