Our little gem

Just come to the end of our second visit and it was so nice to return. Jess’ homemade goods are delicious and I would recommend the sausage rolls and scotch eggs. The couple are so accommodating and the peacefulness of the site is just what a caravan holiday should be. The fact that you have a hardstanding fully serviced pitch for £18 a night is great value and the online booking system Is simple and user friendly. This site is suitable for all ages

Lovely peaceful spot

Stayed for a week at the end of March. Lovely quiet and peaceful spot, on a busy working farm. Loved watching the sheep! The serviced pitches make caravan life very easy. Lots of wildlife about, great for birders, and there’s a nice little nature reserve right behind the site. Handy for the coast, and also visited Cragside during our stay. They are expanding from June, with another 5 pitches in the next field.

Just perfect

have just left here after 2 nights. It’s so local to me and such a pretty location, I will definitely be returning. Cameron was helpful and friendly and made sure we had what we needed, we were a group of 3 vans just wanting to catch up with each other. Sadly the skies were cloudy so we missed the stars, but had a wonderful walk around the nature reserve. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is warmer and take the kids with us as they will love the location.

What A Gem

What a lovely site. Away from the main road and a peaceful location.Easy walking out from the site and so much to see and do in the local area. Jess couldn’t have been more helpful. Our first attempt to visit this site was thwarted by the access road being icy. Jess suggested it wasn’t a good idea towing a van up/down the hill so we went elsewhere to another site nearby. Just spent 14 nights there and had a great time. Initially planned 10 nights but extended and Jess was happy to allow that. The local garage has a fantastic shop selling local produce and is an easy walk from the site. The lakes nearby and the lakes on the other side of the A697 a teaming with wildlife. The fact that we are planning a return visit says everything.

Lovely place to stay

We stayed at Brandon Ford in October - the views are just beautiful wherever you look. The site is fully serviced and well looked after - Cameron came every evening to empty bins and check everyone was ok. You can walk from the site to a river, nature park and the hills. Communication was good and we visited Alnwick, Warkworth and Bamburgh Castles, Holy Island, Cragside and Ford and Etal from there. Brandon Ford is well a visit - we loved our stay and would go back.

Excellent!

All has been said previously and for us it is an ideal site: quiet, large level pitches, neat and tidy, useful information and guides for walking, beautiful countryside and footpaths from the site, hard to beat!

Well worth a visit.

We had four nights at this site as part of our trip to Scotland, The site is very popular so would advise you make your bookings as early as possible we had to shuffle ours to make things fit. We were met Jess soon after we arrived, we had previously ordered a variety of picnic foods from her other enterprise "The Very British Farmhouse Kitchen" which was delivered the next morning, it was very scrumptious, good value for money and you could tell it was fresh the sausage rolls were still warm. The site is well maintained having the water to each plot is a bonus as well as having the other necessities near by added to the enjoyment. Cameron also came to see us just to make sure every thing was ok. We had a lovely walk around Brandon Lake Reserve lots of wildlife to see and just down the lane and across the river. The area is full of places to visit we went to the Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick and my favourite Cragside. It's lovely site I only wished we lived closer, if we are that way again that's where we well head for.
