Great Introduction to CLs

Our 2nd CL and the first for our friends. We all loved it, large spacious pitches, great views, peace and tranquility on tap. Well placed to visit the wonderfully clean beaches and enjoy the Broads and the wildlife. We were well looked after by the owners, Chris and Linda, who were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Facilities were great and spotlessly clean. We would not hesitate to return when next visiting Norfolk.

Immaculate sitr

This site is immaculate and Christopher cleans everything several times a day including changing shower curtain every time. Site is level with lovely views and very peaceful. The only downside for us was no where at all to walk our dog from site as road outside busy with no paths. Not very safe to walk even without a dog. Ideal for caravans with a car to make day trips easier. Also there is a septic tank that only take green chemicals so make sure you are chemed up with green before arrival. We had a lovely stay and relaxed in the sun.

Best CL site we have stayed at!

We really enjoyed our stay. The facilities were spotless and our hosts very welcoming. The pitches are flat and well spaced. We camped next to a nature reserve overlooking the field of sheep. A great place to unwind. 😁

Beautiful Bridge House CL

My husband and I know this area well but had never noticed Bridge House CL site on the many times we drove past. It is in a truly wonderful setting. The paddock is very secure and is surrounded by woodland one side and fields the others. The bluebells were out whilst we stayed which made it even more stunning. The pitch sizes are huge and very level. What makes this site extra special is that there is a small toilet / shower / washing up block that is immaculately clean. You do need to be organised and remember to turn the heater on but this was not a problem at all and the superb shower at the end was wonderful. Linda and Chris who own the site are lovely friendly people and really care about their guests. Location is great with many dog friendly beaches nearby and the Broads a short distance away. Bridge House also has two luxury holiday let’s which are positioned near to the camping paddock. This is ideal if a number of sets of families want to come on holiday together - some in the let’s and some in their outfits. Less than 100 yards down the road is a large farm shop that sells wonderful local produce. We have only recently started using CL sites but will certainly be back to use this one. A real gem find for us.

This site is ok, but the hot shower arrangement .......

Despite its good reviews we won’t stay here again until they fix the shower arrangement. Instead of the hot water for the shower being supplied by an electric heated shower like most sites, this one uses an immersion heater for its water tank AND YOU HAVE TO SWITCH THE HOT WATER ON YOURSELF first thing in the morning, if you’re first to use it that day. Well you can imagine how that’s going to work......yes, it doesn’t work. Because if you turn the immersion heater switch on as instructed , you then have to wait about 25-30 mins for the water tank to get hot before you can shower. And guess what, there’s nothing to stop another camper taking your slot and pinching the hot water if you’ve meantime returned to your van to wait. Plus the very dangerous exit from the site onto a fast road with a blind bend means we won’t hurry back. Even though the owner did see us out, it’s not worth the adrenaline at our age. We did enjoy the view across the fields towards the dunes with plenty of wild life around. P.s. apparently they’re planning to build a new shower block soon.

Fantastic stay

We have just returned from this gem if a site which is a beautiful site surrounded by hedges. Loads of birds and squirrels to look at. We arrived and were met by Chris who welcomed us like members if his family. He told us to park how we liked on the pitch allocated to us. Chris and Linda are really genuinely nice warm and welcoming people We were given two laminated sheets one with all the site information and the wireless password. The second sheet was places of interest in the local area. The site is basically level and is massive but they only allow 5 vans or motor homes on the site at anyone time. There are grey water disposal and Elsan disposal point next to the main toilet and Shower block that Chris clean as daily. He also cleans the toilets with Linda twice or 3 times a day due to the Covid restrictions. These facilities are Immaculate. It was a very pleasant stay and we will return again and again. So if your looking for a great site to tour the north Norfolk coast then look no further. Sue & Scott

Super Site

This is a very nice CL. A good location for exploring the Norfolk Broads and just a mile from the lovely beach. Chris works very hard every day looking after things and the facilities are modern and very clean. Having the farm shop and butchers within walking/cycling distance is a plus. We stayed here in September for 10 nights and wish we could have stayed longer however this popular site was booked up. The Greyhound Inn in Hickling Green (2 miles) was a good place for traditional pub food, reasonably priced and observed all Covid guidelines. The Swan in Ingham village is "fine dining" only if your budget can take it! Nearby Stalham has a Tescos Superstore. Would also recommend The Dunes Cafe in Wexham and boat trip at the National Trust Horsey Mill. Bill, Tracey with dogs Molly and Scrumpy

Wonderful CL

Linda and Chris could not do more to make this a perfect CL. The facilities are in excellent order and all is kept "Covid Safe". The field is grassy and flat with open views to Sea Palling. All extremely well maintained. The walk to Sea Palling might be a bit of a trek but perfect for those of us with bikes. The great bonus for me as the fantastic night sky with very little light pollution. Perfect for night time photographers and star gazers. Chris was even kind enough to turn off some non essential lights to help with viewing.

Superb site!

Truly superb site! We have just had an amazing eight night stay in this gorgeous CL site. Owners are very friendly and professional. Site is quite with beautiful views. Facilities are spotless at all times, with great regard to the current Covid19 situation. Location is perfect to go and view many amazing Norfolk sites. So much to see and explore from beaches to broads. The seals at Horsey where an amazing experience, hundreds and hundreds swimming in sea and lying on beach, you could get as close to 3-4m to them! Beaches go on and on, and are clean and most are dog friendly. Horsey and Winterton-on-Sea being our favourite near by. Boat trip at Horsey was another highlight! Train trip from Sheringham to Holt on the North Norfolk Railway another great experience! Cafe s like Dunes Cafe and Poppyland worth a visit. I could go on and on! So much to do and see! We will be back again. Sonia and Tim, with happy whippets Roger and Moneypenny
