Another great find

This is a lovely site, with friendly and helpful owners. It is well laid out and each pitch is serviced with its own electric, water and grey water drain. There are four hard standings (I believe the fifth pitch will be turned into a hard standing over the winter period) and given the weather we have had in the last month or two we were glad of it. We have just spent a wonderful three weeks there and have no problem recommending this site. I lack the Austrian accent, but I will be back. LOL.

First visit to a CL...

what can i say. This was my first use of a CL site. what an introduction!! I've just got back from three nights stay and the site is excellent in every way, Nicola was very friendly and keeps the site very tidy. every pitch has electric, water and drainage which made such a difference having never used a serviced pitch before. This is my first ever review and i felt the site deserved to be my first! i will definitely be going back. the footpaths just off the site take you for miles and if you want to drive Chatsworth and numerous surrounding villages are a short 10-15 minutes away. the site has some lovely views.

A real gem of CL

Stayed on this site for 5 nights in July - wow were we impressed. The site has been really well thought out and laid out. Pitches are flat and fully serviced, plenty of space between vans and a lovely lawn area across the front of the site which you could use for seating etc. There The was lots of info on the board and Pie Night at The Farmyard Pub is NOT to be missed - great atmosphere, food and staff, only wish it was nearer to us at home. One final point, this site has 4 fantastically appointed camping pods (www.peakpods.com) so if you have friends or family wanting to join you visit then suggest you look at these. If this CL was nearer to home we would use it all the time for short breaks etc. Would definitely use again if visiting this area of Derbyshire and have no hesitation in recommending.

Perfect in every way.

The title says it all. We spent 7 nights on this sight and could not fault a thing, the weather was poor so having electricity, mains water and grey waste disposal no more than 2M from the back of the caravan was wonderful. The site itself offers peace and quiet with only a small amount of farm traffic using the adjacent road. We found the site ideally located for all the attractions in the Southern Peak District, with all the local shops and supermarket in Bakewell, 4 miles away, you could ask for no more. We will certainly be using this site again when we return to this lovely area of the country.

Excellant location

Stayed on this site for 11 nights in May and found it to be excellent and a great location for exploring the Peak District and very close to Bakewell. Lots of lovely interesting villages and good walks with lots of places of interest. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended. Thank you Nicola for a lovely holiday, Darryl and Brian.

Can't fault it...

We were there for a week in August. Can't fault it. Open aspect, part-hardstanding, great access for walkers and places to visit - especially the Chatsworth farm shop - food to die for... Nicola, friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Lovely CL

Stayed here 2 nights, wished we could have stayed longer. Had committed elsewhere. Within easy reach of plenty of attractions and towns. Very peaceful site. Owner very helpful and friendly. May book in the Peak Pods next door when the weather turns cold they look great.
