The great thing here is the ease of getting to Holy Island - only a a couple of minutes drive to the causeway. It’s quiet apart from the occasional train. Small & well maintained site. No ‘views’ from pitches but is in open farming countryside & undisturbed. There was no one around when we arrived at 5pm & others who had been there a few days had been unable to find anyone since they arrived. (Someone turned up just as we were about to leave the next day)
Brock mill farm ,May 2021
This site is in a very convenient place, very close to Holy Island, and numerous other lovely places to visit. There is a toilet on site for the use of people staying there, is very clean and smells clean and fresh. Lots of bins for waste and recycling. All plots are a good size, and hard standing, surrounded with grass, and hedges which act as a wind shield, and if the sun is out it makes it ideal sun trap for chilling out , with enough room for a table and chairs.
On arrival the proprietor was there who made us most welcome and very helpful. We will definitely return there when back in this area.
Good Location for Visiting North Northumberland
Spent 5 nights at Brockmill Farm and loved it. The site is well maintained and signposted. Pitches are allocated and notified before arrival. It is mostly quiet with guinea fowl wandering about making a noise :-) Trains can be heard in the distance, but did not disturb us, even at night.
During the day there are great places to visit only a short drive away. Holy Island, Alnmouth, Alnwick and Berwick are all worth a visit. Beaches are sandy and mostly deserted.
Good TV and mobile phone signal.
Well worth a stay.
Outstanding quiet and great location April 2021 - May 2021
Spent over days 10 here. Warm and friendly welcome. Very quiet site notice somebody had said trained bothered them but honestly we did not here much sound and nothing to that should bother anybody’s stay. Will be back for more great walks with the dogs. Clean and spotless toilet facilities. Great for those who want peace and tranquillity and a base to walk or sightsee.

Great location for walking and cycling
Very easy to access and only a mile or so from the A1. The site is clean and tidy, has good signing and level pitches with sensible and practical Covid-related precautions. Facility to make payment by bank transfer is very convenient. Site is only a few minutes drive from the causeway to Lindisfarne with safe paths for those preferring to walk or cycle. Convenient for NCN Route 1 both north and south on the coast and a wide variety of cycling routes on quiet country roads inland to villages and attractions such as Etal and Ford. Perfect weekend location for leisurely exercise on this beautiful coast.

Motorhomer - perfect for Holy island
A long drive in along road with lots of potholes. Parked up behind barn so if views important to you this might not be for you. Perfect overnight stop for us very close to the causeway to Holy island so you can make the most of a day visit here. Although quite close to mainline railway no disturbance at night. Notice up on arrival telling us where to park, had paid by card on booking. Didn't see anyone other than other visitors but only there overnight. Facilities all easy to find and use.

Nice site
Lovely site, very easy to find, private
Drive to it but well kept. Covid precautions taken, toilet available, clean tidy, level hardstanding, 5 mins from the lindisfarne road, we cycled across from site and a sustrans path there to avoid busy road. Beautiful walks and not far to berwick on tweed which is well worth a visit.
The train line is close but we did not find it an issue, view is farm buildings. Not the site for someone who wants a great view however its well kept, clean, well serviced, easy booking. An ideal base site.

Another wonderful stay.
Our second visit to this site and we enjoyed it as much as the first, lots to see and do locally then come back to peace and quiet, good tv reception and 4G internet, really good for checking tide times at Holy Island. Had both dogs with us and lots of places to walk them. All in all a very good base to see the north east and the Borders a great little cl site, well kept and tidy.

A quiet break
Just spent three nights here lovely an peaceful some people complain about the trains but I have to say they didn’t bother us. The site is very clean and looked after toilets were clean and tidy it’s a small site which was just what we wanted and would certainly go back again enjoyed the time we spent here
Quiet and peaceful?
Brockmill Farm reviews are somewhat misleading.
I read the reviews, looked on google earth and spotted the East Coast main line ran close by and was ready for some noise intrusion. However l was not prepared for the total lack of view, atmosphere and traffic that runs past the pitches. Or the noise.
The site is approached via a long dusty potholed track, roughly three quarters of a mile. Drive past the farmhouse leads into the site which is very small by normal CL standards, all hard standings but-unkempt. One tap a toilet disposal and a toilet. It is surrounded by tall hedges so no view there. The track continues past the vans to the house behind and the fields. Monster tractors go by several times a day. Some of the buildings have collapsed and been left. All in all not good. The view from the van was of a solid barn front.
Now for the noise. The East Coast main line runs along side the farm roughly 300 meters away. Trains run every fifteen minutes or so at speeds up to 115 to 125. Those coming from the north sound their air horns on approach, those from the south when they pass the farm. There is a set of points just to the north and the trains make a real noise going each way. Trains run from about 5.30am to about 11pm.
That said the site is ideal for visits to Lindesfarne, roughly 4 miles away and other local attractions at Etal, Heatherslaw and various castles. Berwick on tweed is fascinating with its walls and fortifications.
We never saw the owner. Several members left after one night echoing my comments about noise etc and in one case having paid for four nights. At times there were 6 units. Not at all impressed.
The listing shows a cost of £13 a night, we paid £14, not a problem. The listing says four night minimum July August.
