Lovely views and great for Dunham Massey

We had two nights here so that we could go to the Christmas at Dunham Massey event. It was a brilliant location, only 10 minutes away, and the site had lovely views and was really peaceful. The facilities were good and clean, and the owner was friendly and welcoming on arrival. Overall a really good base for exploring the local area.

Great CL, lovely views

This is a great little CL with beautiful views of Cheshire. It was our first time using a CL and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially since it was only a 40 mins drive away from home. The site is in a lovely location, and about 30 mins walk from the beautiful Lymm/Bridgewater Canal. The owners were really friendly and helpful and were happy to accomodate us for an extra night as we decided to take advantage of the beautiful location a bit longer. Local bacon and eggs are available to purchase from the farm and would totally recommend to try them as they are very delicious. When we booked we thought there would be no toilet/shower facilities available but we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to discover the newly built toilet block had opened the day before our arrival. The facilities were spotless and a great addition to the site. The chemical waste disposal is a bit of a walk from the field where we pitched, but my husband deals with that so I didn't really care too much. Overall, a lovely site and we would most definitely return.

Great CL

Lovely CL. Very friendly welcome. A couple of lovely pubs within walking distance. Very easy 40min walk along the canal into Lymm. Brand new facilities 2 toilets and 1 shower, immaculate and great addition to this peaceful site. Owners can’t do enough for you. They let us use the front field to let the dogs have a run, not sure if this is regularly available but our 2 enjoyed stretching their legs. We will certainly use again.

Excellent. Enjoyed our stay.

This was the first CL we had stayed at. Due to covid it was also our first holiday of 2020. Booked 4 nights and this CL is only 7miles from home and its a place we will be visiting again. Nice and peaceful, well kept and easy access and lovely views. We didnt get to meet the owner, but feel this was mainly due to covid and just left us to it. Only very minor downfall is the cesspit is approx a 300yrd walk. Carrying your loo for some maybe a struggle. Pop it in your boot and park outside the cottages. Or rest it on your grey waste container to wheel it there is my top tip 👍

Always Pleased to Arrive Here

We have been to Broomedge several times now and always really enjoy the place. Nice level field, quiet and spacious so easily set up and with a pleasant view over the adjacent fields. Nigel (the farmer/owner) is always helpful and its only a few minutes walk to a good eating-pub and a very convenient shop. Lovely part of the countryside nearby too. Everything we look for in a CL.

Well positioned CL

We have stayed on this site on numerous occasions and have used both the hard standing and the grass pitches depending on the time of year. A working farm with good views, friendly welcome and always quiet. Will continue to visit.

Flower show visit

Revisiting this excellent site for our stopover whilst we went to Tatton flower show. The views from the pitches are simply stunning and the large field allows for plenty of space between pitches. There are no extra charges for awnings and 2 great pubs and a shop a short walk away. A great cl for National trust properties on the doorstep.

Good location

Had a good three nights stay at this very easy to find working farm site. We had to use the hard standing area as its that time of year but that's no problem to us as motorhomers we like hard standing to prevent sinking in to boggy fields. Owner was friendly. Did not use the local shop or pubs but they are very handy not far at all to walk to. Some noise from Manchester airport but not too intrusive. Just watch on the drive in for any overhanging small branches driving slowly made it ok. Black waste disposal not fantastic as its in a different field and the grass was wet so not ideal. Good open view of the local country side and we were lucky to see a nice rainbow all adding to the stay. Will use again when in the area.

Close to Tatton Park & good eateries

This site was ideal for Tatton Park and the owner Nigel was very helpful with directions and advice. Found a very good pub/dining very near the entrance which served good food and made us welcome. As other reviewers have stated, the hygiene in the portaloo left a lot to be desired, namely cleaning and hand wash facilities - so stick to using your own facilities. The description does state it is a working farm. The hard standing is not to the standard of other CL sites. Had a good stay though and wish all CL sites would provide the details & photos as this owner has!
