Perfect for sea and countryside

Just lovely! Extremely welcoming and helpful. Andy went out of his way in every way. The site is well positioned for everything in the east of Devon and west of Dorset, particularly Lyme Regis. The hard standings and dedicated water and electricity was very convenient and easy to use. The dogs are allowed but (good) rules on control and clean up. Not near any main roads so safe as well as quite. We will be back as living in mid Dorset it’s an hours drive for us. Thanks Andy.

Great Host

Lovely site. Very large pitch sites only 5 on site. Andy the owner came and greeted us and has a wealth of local information on where to go what to see and best way to get there. Also had a map of an easy local walk into Lyme Regis. Each pitch has its own fresh water supply. Electric is on a meter and there was an honesty pot to put your meter reading in with the cash. We averaged around £3 a day of usage making £25 a night in total. Andy does request if you use an awning (no extra charge) that you do not use the carpet to protect the grass. More than happy to recommend

Absolute delight

Thank you Andy for such a lovely stay. Your site is fabulous - one of the quietest we have ever stayed on and very accessible from your recommended route. Probably wouldn't be so easy for anyone not following this as there are lots of very narrow country lanes in the area. The maintenance of the site is brilliant - grass neatly cut, tidy refuse area with lots of recycling facilities. A perfect location for trips into Lyme and also to Seaton and Axemouth. Love the fact that your pitches offer complete freedom of positioning - we really like to be able to put our van in any direction we fancy so that we get the maximum privacy - maybe something to bear in mind when you go over to hardstanding pitches. Fantastic to have water as well as EHU on the individual pitches, and completely support your approach for charging electric through a meter - much more sensible and fairer for those guests who use very little power. You are a great host - lots of helpful chat and friendly approach - we felt that you really care for your guests. We'll be back before long. Thank you again.

Absolutely first class CL. Must be one of the best.

We opted to break our journey up from Cornwall as we had two days to spare en route to Portsmouth. What a find. A really spacious CL, easy to find and in such a peaceful position . We woke in the morning to absolutely nothing- perfect! Just a couple of deer in the field opposite. Each pitch with masses of room and with its own water electric and grey waste. That doesn't happen very often. So lovely to plug in the water and forget it! Andrew the owner very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. He lives locally and on hand should you need anything. Perfect for Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Amminster and Jurassic coast. An abundance of walks and cycle rides from the CL. Can't recommend this CL enough if you need to be in this area. A real credit to Andrew who in my view has the CL exactly right. Adrian Noye

excellent site

we spent a week here at the beginning of june and were delighted with the site. Plenty of space and with services on each pitch it is ideal for a motorhome where if water wasn't available you might have to go off pitch to refill. There was a lovely woodland just next to the site ideal for dog walking, and easy access to pretty lanes for cycling. Lyme Regis is not far away but it is all downhill so rather a tough cycle back. The lanes you need to take to get to the cl are pretty narrow but we hardly met another vehicle and this is only to be expected if you want peace and quiet. The field is fairly flat and we were amazed by the number of birds coming to find food-each evening there were at least 4-5 blackbirds, a couple of pied wagtails and most amazingly 3 mistle thrushes, one of which even came and perched on our chairs. We were parked at the far end of the field nearest the house and did find when there was rain it did tend to run down to our end of the site. Having said that, it drained quickly and even with a heavy van it didn't cause any problems. Andy, the owner, was really helpful and knowledgeable about the area and was always on hand to check if there was anything we needed. As we have friends in the area and usually visit once a year we will definitely be back

Outstanding site and welcome

We returned from a lovely few days at this site a couple of weeks ago. The site is very well located and spaced out. It was a bonus having a serviced site also. Very well cared for by the owner. Andy could not have been more welcoming and helpful. If he saw us around he always popped over to see if we needed anything and to check we were having a good time. We were blessed with amazing weather which always helps, but would not hesitate to return if we decided to go back to that area. Unfortunately I fell over whilst running just before we left, and actually found out my arm was fractured two days later - Andy, this is why my review is late! Again - a first class site and service.

Quiet and peaceful

Easy to find in a quiet, peaceful location. Andy, the owner was very helpful and attentive. For us the bonus was mains water on all pitches, along with electric hook up made the stay very easy. There are plenty of walks nearby for your daily exercise, and short drives to Lyme Regis, Axminster, Seaton and Beer. To be honest, although our weather wasn’t ideal, it would be peaceful and relaxing just staying on the site. There’s plenty of space between pitches, so no concerns with noise pollution. We are certainly looking forward to an early return.

Could not be a better CL

Lovely CL. Quiet and peaceful and yet at the heart of the the Jurassic Coast. Great for dogs, just adjacent to a nice forest. Plenty of room around the pitch. Owned by a great guy Andy, who could not be more friendly and welcoming. We're new to CAMC and CL sites, stayed at around half a dozen so far, Andy's site is right up there, perfect really. Can't wait to go back.

A Fantastic CL

What a fantastic CL! Thoroughly recommended for its location, tranquility and spaciousness. Great site for dogs, cycling and visiting local attractions. A great welcome from Andy, who was very hospitable, helpful and generous with his time. This site ticked all the boxes for us. We will definitely be coming back!
