Perfect

What an idyllic site, and charming owners, Neil and Helen, who made our first visit here very enjoyable.Surrounded by beautiful countryside, and plenty of walks and cycling routes to explore, and the best star gazing we've seen for along time. We'll love too visit again soon.

Excellent owner

Our booking was dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. When there owners were very helpful but not intrusive. Site basically level . It was dry over our visit but I seemed well drained. Pitches all on grass but to take full advantage of the options available you need a long flex. A few more plug in points would help. Great walking and cycling from site. We would love to stay again.

Very pleasant CL

We have just spent an extremely pleasant weekend (good weather always helps) on this site. We were made very welcome. The basic facilities were easily accessible within the field. We wished we'd taken our bikes though as that would have been just the job for going down the tow path or indeed the surrounding minor roads. Will definately visit again in the future.

Excellent CL - ticks all the boxes!

Wonderful weekend just had at this picture perfoect CL. Excellent owners - free range eggs available. Peaceful and tranquil. Easy walk to the Grantham Canal - pub within 20mins on the towpath. Grantham centre about an hour's walk. Only facility is electric - could possibly expand to have WC etc. but certainly did not affect the stay. Will certainly return!

Idyllic LocalPlacesOfInterest

Very pleasant, idyllic, rural retreat, with obliging helpful owners. Good access roads(from the A52) to peaceful, security gated, field. Good views and country walks direct from CL. Local shops in Barrowby nearby. Good TV and radio reception (with Status, 360 degree, roof mounted aerial). Well placed for visits to Belvoir Castle, Belton House, Woolsthorpe Manor, Burghley House, and Lincoln Cathedral. Finally, the free range eggs, from the main house, are reason enough on their own to visit this lovely CL. Many thanks to Helen & Neil for a very pleasant stay.

lovely stay

Just back from a stay at this CL, we struggled to find it at first as the farm next door has the same name & the postcode in the satnav took us there...(read the cc book, unlike us!!) A warm welcome awaits & nothing was to much trouble for the owner. A very quiet, peaceful & pretty site. Fantastic walks in every direction (head for the canal). Beautiful veiws of Belvior Castle & a welcome pint at The Dirty Duck when the legs are tired from all the walking. Would we return??? definately!!! Lovely little site

Our first experience of a CL site

LaughingArrived at site with a very warm welcome from Helen who gave us all the details of the site and the area. Lovely location a short walk to the canal towpath however the local pub at the side of canal was disappointing did not fancy eating there but a lovely walk taking in all the scenery. Grantham close by but you would need to use your car also Asda close by for your supplies - 10 mins. Very peaceful relaxing weekend - only problem we had was that we could not use our TV as there was no reception but sometimes this is a good thing!!! Secure site - on entry to gate you use a keypad however did struggle when it was dark to see so you will need your touch. Will definitely use the site again and other CL Sites - brilliant value for money.

Tranquillity abounds!

An excellent CL that we visit regularly. Easy access from the A1/A52 yet in perfectly peaceful surroundings. Plenty of good walks nearby, including alongside the Grantham canal, and there are several excellent eating houses within a few miles of the site (one of which you can walk to along the canal towpath). Plenty of shopping opportunities for the ladies at nearby Downtown and Grantham is a very pleasant little market town. Belvoir Castle is always worth a visit. Helen and Neil and their children will always offer you a very warm welcome and always available to help without being intrusive. But don't tell too many people we want to keep this little gem amongst ourselves!

Tranquil site

Just spent weekend at this site which is easily accessible from A1 and A52.A warm welcome and the loan of an extra lead allowed us to site van on hardstanding with a lovely view of the sunrise. All services close and very convenient also a keypad operated gate gives additional security.Would recommend for longer stay or ideal overnight stop for travel either North/South or cross country.

Lovely weekend

This is probably the quietest CL we have ever stayed on. A little gem of a site, down a quiet country lane, but just 3 miles out of Grantham. Plenty of room to spread out, as Helen will supply hook-up leads if yours isn't long enough. Wife spent Saturday afternoon at 'Downtown', a local out-of-Town Shopping complex, whilst I watched my Footy team win at Grantham Town. Everybody happy then! Had a lovely meal at the Welby Arms in Allington, about 4 miles away (best to book a table), and well worth a visit for excellent food and Real Ale. Will definitely return in the future.
