Bitten by farm dog!
We knew this was a working farm and have stayed at ones previously, but on arrival we were met with a snarling dog, whilst trying to get to farmhouse door to ask where to park. The person we saw seemed unclear about everything and waved us round the back. We found parking beyond farmyard at rear but had to go and ask again where water taps and CWD were. Got a different person this time. There are no signs for anything and you just find yourself wandering around the farmyard aimlessly. The pitch is "adequate" - it's a stretch of grass and you just choose a spot. Next day we tried to walk out to the sea wall overlooking the estuary. Immediately met by 2 dogs (apparently there is also a third) as we tried to walk through farmyard (as directed) to reach public footpath. We felt intimidated with our own dog, so picked him up (fortunately he's small enough). I was then attacked and bitten on the leg (jeans took the brunt of it, but I was bleeding). Spoke to people in first building but no apologies, man told one woman to lock up the dog but didn't seem overly concerned. When we returned from the walk (don't bother as the footpath was completely overgrown with brambles) we went to backdoor of other building (as directed) to pay and an older woman escorted us back to our motorhome in case of further problems, but we could hear dog barking in locked barn as we passed. GIVE IT A MISS, unless you are very confident of not being bitten!
