Not my thing.

Easy to find but that's the only thing I found good about it. The track to the field had bushes scraping the sides of my van. The trees were scraping along the roof. When they are more developed they will damage ariels etc. The field we were in had sheep in it and it was covered in sheep poop. We didn't stay, the owner was very friendly when I said it wasn't suitable and suggested a site down the road.

Very good value

As other reviewers, we stayed here overnight to break up a longer journey. Also, as said before, the entrance is not the easiest as there is a gate that needs opening and unless you have a very short outfit, you will need to stop on the road to open it. We made the mistake of trying to get through the enticing cattle grid to the right of the gate (fine without a caravan), but were not lined up straight enough so had to manoeuvre back to go through the gate (thank you motor mover!) The (Mrs) owner happened to be passing at this point and was very pleasant, apologising that she needed to keep the gate closed due to the livestock, which was all fine (it's nice to see cows in the field next to your caravan :o) Leaving also requires you to go through the gate and park up on the road. The owner (Mr) asked us on passing if we wanted help with the gate which we declined, but with hindsight we would have been safer to take him up on the offer. Site is huge, one tap, one hole in the ground (elsan point, which was a very tidy job), one bin, and a huge field to pitch up in. We arrived with just one caravan set up for the long term, and pitched in the corner away from them. It made me chuckle that returning from a trip out, there was a caravan and motorhome now near us, then a second motorhome came and pitched in front of the amenities. If we'd been last we'd have gone on the other side of the field from everyone as we enjoy space. Will definitely be considering using again to break up the journey or if we want to stay in the area.

Working farm

Very convenient working farm cl.Second stay here on trip north.Very easy as just off m5.This is a working farm, the CL is located at the back well away from the road. The track in a a bit rutted but with a 24 ft van as long as care is taken its fine. The grass in field was on the long side, which on a longer stay would be a problem. But nice relaxing spot, owners are welcoming and leave you pretty much alone.Dogs welcome and plenty of space to exercise them. Will use again.

Cheap but could be better

Quite a nice cl. There is good access to water and a dustbin is provided in the field. The chemical disposal point is a hole in the ground which I assume leads to a pit. The area was covered in nettles and brambles. The 'waterside' reference refers to two wide drainage ditches which are covered in duck weed. The worst thing about this site (apart from the traffic noise) was the length of the grass. Only a small area was of shorter (about 6") length, the rest we could have lost the caravan in. With a bit more attention this could be a very nice site. Do not rely on the sat nav for this one as the lane has been blocked of. Also the entrance is just back from the road so approach slowly as you need to open a gate from a very busy road.

Nice and cheap cl ideal for overnight stop overs or longer

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way down to Newquay and 1 night on our way back. The cl is very basic with just having a water tap and elsan point and that's it but for the £5.00 a night fee what more could you want. The entrance into the cl is down past the farm house then down a track through the orchard which is a little overgrown and you have to be very very careful not to catch your caravan on the overhanging trees . Once on the cl itself there is plenty of room for at least 25 caravans so you have enough space to chill once on site. You can hear the slight noise of the m5 motorway and also the main Somerset train line but its not too bad. The site itself is only 2 minuets from the m5 so it is easy to find. The farm is also a cider farm where you can buy real cider and the owners are friendly. We would stay again for an overnight stay but the track does need a little tidy up in my opinion.
