A lovely site

We have just returned from a week here. We loved it. The sheep and cows next to us were great, especially Shaun and Fred the sheep who were very friendly, but also the sound of the geese and watching the crows roost. The site is lovelly. The grass cut well and clippings picked up. The hardstandings would have been close together if all 5 vans were on them but we had a great pitch along the fence close to the sheep with loads of room. The toilets and showers are basic but good. We never used the shower as we used our own but it was clean and spacious. The electric was metered which helped us see how much we used when on a non metered site. Once we learned and turned the heating and water back to 1kw and on for less (not that we were tight we were previously lazily leaving it on so metered is the way to go) we used less that a £1 a day. The site is in a great location with lots of walks on good paths all around. Barnham is close with shops and a nice but more of a drinkers pub. Walberton the other way is a lovelly village with a great pub called the Holly tree (fish and chips on a Friday are exceptional). A longer walk took us to the seasfront at Bognor or felpham. The owners are very friendly. We liked the security of the automated gate that you called as you got close at it opened. The only thing to note is that there is road noise. It is next to a country lane which has fairly constant flow of vehicles so if road noise is a massive issue for you then this may be something to consider. You can't see the traffic but you can hear it albeit it goes quite about 6pm. It didn't bother us and did not wake us as other sites have. We will be back.

A gem of a CL

From the start the instructions were very clear from Tracey from directions to the site to the gate access. We were due to go for christmas 2020, but as restrictions arrived we moved our dates to May, which was probably a blessing as it was warmer to walk the dog. Although the road outside has its rush hour traffic we enjoyed a very peaceful 4 days, just listening to the cows and lambs in the field with occasional honks from the geese across the road. Certainly stay there again when the time comes.

Cracking CL

Just returned from a 4 night stay on this excellent site. We had a grass pitch and from the very beginning felt comfortable and at peace. We spent hours watching the sheep and baby lambs through our caravan window. The owners Tracy and Keith are extremely friendly and welcoming. Fishing was good even on a cold day . Will definitely be back...

Lovely stay

Stayed for 6 nights in april. Security gate on entering the cl, which was good. Flat level pitches with choice of hardstanding or grass. Water tap for each pitch. There are 2 toilets always spotlessly clean. Shower room was closed so can't comment on that. Electric was by meter first pound was free. It was very cold overnight so we had the heating on in the evening and it worked out about 1 pound a day. Great site for visiting Arundel, chichester, walking in the South downs and littlehampton. A cycle path runs from the site to Burnham where there is a train station. We will definitely return as we want to go to Portsmouth naval museum and Arundel castle which were still closed.I We found it peaceful and relaxing.

Lovely!

Such a lovely CL, peaceful, spacious, clean. Owners are friendly and helpful. Great cycle path right opposite the entrance too. The field has great drainage and despite some extremely bad weather the ground stayed firm.

Lovely secluded CL in working farm

We really enjoyed our stay at Choller Farm. The site is very clean and tidy. Our kids loved the horses, cows and sheep in the adjoining field. Barnham village is an easy stroll down the nearby cycle track. There are several lovely beaches within a short drive and towns like Chichester are also easily accessible as well as the South Downs.

Lots of room and great setting

I absolutely love this CL! Have just come back after 7 days, with the weather varying from torrential rain to baking sunshine. The site offers hard standing and grass, so all weathers would be fine for any vehicle. Lovely little toilet and shower huts, clean and well maintained. Each pitch has its own water supply and is very well spaced from neighboring pitches. It is a flat walk or cycle ride to the local village which has 2 "express" style supermarkets and a general store which provides you with everything you could possibly need. The railway station in the village connects you with all the local towns and larger resorts if you don't want to drive. We took a train to Worthing on a rainy day, but used our van otherwise to visit Chichester and Littlehampton which were within very easy driving distance. We used less than £5.00 on electricity over the 7 days. The only slight fly in the ointment was that the wifi did not reach our pitch, which was the furthest from the router. Not a problem for me, but the other half had to keep a daily check on his business, but it just meant walking a bit closer to the hut! Please don't all rush here, as I want to be sure of a space for a return visit very soon!

Good value for money

We have just spent 3 nights at Chollers Farm. Great communication when booking and on arrival with Tracey and Keith. This site is well prepared for COVID with clear instructions, sanitiser gel in the communal toilet and shower areas and each pitch having their own water source. Electricity is paid by card in £1 instalments which means you only pay what you use. For us this worked out £1 a night which was actually included in the price! Circular walks to local towns and villages and a cycle track immediately outside which takes you to Slindon and Rewell wood. Great opportunities for mountain biking and walking. In the other direction it takes you to the coast which we will do next time...

lovely C.L.

just spent five nights at Choller Farm, lovely large field with close cut grass which is picked up !, never met Tracey and only briefly met Keith on arrival, shower and toilets very clean , the electrics are so easy to use on the site we used just over £1 per day, in the winter or colder nights would be a little different, with all the room on field it would be a lot safer if the entrance gate was moved ten feet away from the road which we thought was a little bit on the dangerous side, plenty of places to visit from site which we found very easy to find,if we ever go back to Sussex we would love to stay at Choller Farm.

Well worth considering

We had 10 days on the site very nice, well kept, and spacious and tidy.We had sheep and cows just over the fence behind us some of them friendly enough to stroke,Tracy and Keith very friendly and helpful even to supplying us with a fleece for my wife to spin.Th,the lake being e toilets and shower always clean, the shower economical and plentiful.Although its a working farm not to noisy or intrusive. The fishing lake an added bonus, the fish all in excellent condition with some carp to 20 pounds and some lovely tench, the lake being just a few minutes walk from the site across the field.Barnham the nearest shops is a fifteen minute walk away the Trading Post carries everything you need.We will certainly consider another visit next year to this pleasant site.
