Great CL site in a great location!

We have just had a really enjoyable weeks stay here. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and had a lovely pitch right by the dog field. The shower and toilet facilities are lovely and are very clean. The dog field was a little overgrown as their lawn mower was awaiting a repair but it was still really great to have a designated area where our dogs could run free. The location is fantastic for visiting so many lovely places. We would especially recommend Prestatyn and Conwy. We also walked to the local pub, The Crown Inn . This only took around 10 minutes and the food was delicious! Dog friendly too. We would highly recommend this site and we hope to be back next year. Thank you for such a lovely holiday on your site.

Lovely site

A lovely site with all you need, toilet and shower and information, we was made to feel very welcome by the owner . This is not a manicured site and the grass is not cut to a razor cut , the wildlife can enjoy and so could I watching the rabbits and bird life. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Pleasant Site

This is a good basic site in a quiet location, hosted by a very welcoming and helpful owner. We based ourselves here while we undertook a stage on the North Wales Pilgrim route that runs through the nearby village of Trelawnyd, where there is a welcoming pub with food called The Crown. We stayed at Chwarel for two nights when the weather was mixed.

Wet Boggy Field

We thought the previous reviews sounded good, as well as field to exercise dogs Field wet and boggy, grass over grown, really uninspiring What we found was field for dogs is not let to horses Nice lady owner though

First CL

Just got home from our first CL stay and we are converted.  The site was clean, owners were very friendly and helpful and we were pitched right next to the dog walking field which made life for the pups so much easier.  We would hope to get back again and just wish it was much closer than 108 miles we travelled to visit

Good coast walking base

Visited May 2014.  Found the owners very welcoming.  The entrance just needs to be taken slowly - otherwise no problem.  We used this location for walking the Wales Coast Path - Conwy to Shotton (actually walked to Neston on the Wirral).  Public transport in the area was very good for this.  Would certainly use this site again.

Would stay again

Some lovely walking nearby.  Shower and toilet in entrance to owners house but it was easy to access and you didn't need to disturb the friendly owners.  Good hard standing. Hook ups, water all close by.  Tight turn getti g in but our 23' van didn't struggle.

Perfect hosts

The site is very easy to locate however the entrance may prove awkward for some as it is tight and steep if you have a larger than normal outfit, but been to more testing sites to get into. Met Mr and Mrs M both very welcoming and keen to help in any way a lovely couple who were a pleasure to chat with. Easy access to the main road which offers you the opportunity to get to any of your chosen locations with ease. Space between the pitches is good and all have electric, the only thing that let this site down a little for me was the shower room, it really does suffer from damp and could (I think) easily be rectified, that said the shower was good and functioned well. A pleasure to visit and useful for Colwyn Bay and Chester. Great couple shame about the shower

Nice CL site, friendly owners

Brilliant CL site, all hard standing, plenty of space between vans, field for kids to play in, all the facilities you need i.e. fresh water waste disposal, recycling, toilet and shower Elec hook ups. Good base for touring the area. Very friendly and pleasant owners.
